Property Description for 21 West 9th Street, 4

21 West 9th Street Apartment 4, a rarely available, pet friendly, 2 bedroom, is now available for rent. Located in a historic Italianate brownstone boutique coop, this home is perched above lush, manicured gardens and a pristine tree lined street. Apartment 4 has been meticulously renovated to fit your modern living needs yet it retains the highly sought after charm and details that the Village is known for.

From the moment you walk in, you know you have happened upon something very special. The true centerpiece is its oversized living room with soaring 17+ foot ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace and a massive skylight which fills the apartment with natural light. The kitchen is separate but not removed from the living room and is completely renovated with a Meile dishwasher, Subzero fridge and Wolf stove. Custom shaker cabinets and a large window complete this chef's kitchen. On the opposite end of the apartment are two bedrooms, an updated bathroom and a washer/dryer. The primary bedroom features another wood burning fireplace, excellent storage, another large skylight and sound proof windows. It can easily accommodate a king size bed. The second bedroom can easily fit your queen size bed and a peloton or would be an excellent work from home space. This room also features soaring ceilings and another skylight.

Greenwich Village is a special place to call home, with beloved restaurants such as Rosemary's, Claudette, Loring Place, Quality Eats and Blue Hill, you won't tire of the same old fare. Take a stroll to Jefferson Market Garden, Washington Square Park or visit the Stonewall Inn, an important historical and cultural monument to the neighborhood. Stock up on some goodies at Murray's Cheese, Quality Meats, or Citarella market. A short walk to the Whitney Museum or Union Square. With easy access to transportation you'll be able to travel anywhere you need to go via the A/C/E/B/D/F/M subways, The Path or the 14th Street Crosstown Bus. 21 West 9th Street is a pet friendly coop with a very simple and fast approval process.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
