Property Description for 11 Fifth Ave, 5-G

11 Fifth Avenue #5G is an impeccably gut-renovated corner 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with private balcony in one of lower Fifth Avenue's most sought-after buildings, The Brevoort.

The G line is rarely available and is one of the most desired 2-bedroom lines in the building for its corner windows, extra-large size and outdoor space - giving you a bird's eye view of Fifth Avenue, 8th Street and Washington Square Park. Upon entering this luxurious mint home, you are greeted with a broad entry foyer with its own walk-in closet leading directly to the open living space, which includes counter seating overlooking the Arch and a spacious multi-windowed Chef's kitchen that features high-end, stainless-steel appliances: Wolf Oven & Stovetop; Viking Refrigerator; and Bosch Dishwasher. Elegant details include marble countertops, subway tile, dedicated cabinetry & lots of custom storage, including a built-in area for a microwave & cookbooks, 2 wine refrigerators that each hold 36 bottles of wine, and 2 pantries -- one a walk-in with washer and dryer.

Bathed in southwestern light accentuating the mixture of contemporary and classic luxurious details, this grand beauty is an entertainer's dream. The sweeping, open living, dining and kitchen areas, anchored by the Chef's kitchen and its elegant black granite open kitchen island, are the heart and soul of the home. The opulent entertaining area is a mix of classic beauty and modern space with beautiful pickled oak floors; beamed ceilings; Murano chandelier; recessed lighting; Sonos Wireless Home Sound System; Savant TV Home System; and a wall of windows that leads to your private outdoor balcony with direct views of the World Trade Center. Though-the wall HVAC units, with additional built in storage, in each room will ensure comfort.

The spacious primary bedroom with ensuite bath, with towel warmer, easily fits a king-size bed plus additional furniture and is accented with a vintage Venini chandelier and generous storage space with custom closets -- one a walk-in. The second bedroom can be used as a bedroom or an in-home workspace with built-in desk and storage.

The Brevoort, a New York City icon, is one of the city's most sought-after post-war co-ops with its roots in history as the Brevoort Hotel. This now green and modernized building has a 24-hour doorman, concierge, and a resident manager. With a spacious marble lobby and winged elevators, this iconic mid-century, modern co-op offers its residents landscaped gardens, a convenient circular driveway, parking garage, gym, on-site laundry with a half bath, bike room, and each unit comes with one storage bin (approximately 3 ' by 3 ' by 4'). The building has recently been upgraded with a eco-friendly green features including new windows, planted rooftops, and supplemental emergency power. 11 Fifth Avenue is in the heart of Greenwich Village on the "Gold Coast," one block from Washington Square Park and close to major subway lines including the A/C/E, B/D/F/M, 4/5/6, N/Q/R, 1 and L trains.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
