Property Description for 365 West 19th Street, 3-F

Welcome to 3F, your charming triplex home, including a private rooftop oasis with spectacular panoramic views in the heart of Chelsea! 365 West 19th is located on a quiet, tree-lined street, in a boutique seven unit brownstone featuring designs by renowned artist Robert Ostro. This one of a kind one bedroom/convertible two bedroom apartment features a wood burning fireplace and private roof deck. 3F offers rare vintage architectural details with modern fittings for the ultimate comfort while living in one of the most highly desirable neighborhoods in Manhattan.

Enter the apartment into the dramatic light-filled living room, with a double height, sculptural exposed brick wood burning fireplace as the visual centerpiece. Exposed brick walls, curved half moon windows and angular frosted glass walls allow the south-facing light to pour in, are just a couple of nods to the 1910 architecture of this unique building. Adjacent to the dining area lies the powder room and the large kitchen, with recently renovated stainless steel appliances and cherry wood cabinets.

A spiral staircase whisks you up to the second floor, which features a sun-filled, spacious, primary bedroom complete with skylight. The primary bathroom is roomy, with a modern glass-enclosed shower and travertine tiles. A vast walk-in closet awaits you, with additional storage closets that line the hallway. The large flex second room on this floor, currently set up as an office space and convertible to a guest room, overlooks the bright living space below.

One more flight up is the pièce de résistance, the expansive private roof deck, with all the stops pulled. A large retractable awning and built-in planters for landscaping are all included. Entertain guests with ease using the covered and enclosed potting shed, complete with serving counter, refrigerator and full electricity.

365 West 19th is conveniently located a short distance to Chelsea Market, The High Line, Meatpacking District, Chelsea Piers and The Hudson River Greenway, in addition to many coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Transportation is excellent as well, with access to A,C,E and L trains at 14th Street and the crosstown M23 and M14 Bus Lines. There is also a Citi-Bike station conveniently located at 18th & 9th Ave.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
