Property Description for 11 West 30th Street, 9-F

Available 12/1 Ideally located in the heart of NoMad, this rarely available high-floor loft in a prewar co-op offers a creative sanctuary high above the city. Entered through a key-lock elevator and private foyer, the generously-sized loft welcomes you with light flooding in through the oversized south-facing windows which are complemented by soaring 11” ceilings. The gut renovated open kitchen beautifully elevates the space with an eye catching solid walnut butcher block peninsula, Quartzite backsplash from ABC Stone, Caesarstone Countertops, and top-of-the-line appliances including a Miele dishwasher, Fisher Paykel Fridge, Bosch microwave, and Bertozzi 5 burner stove top. Currently set up as a one bedroom with a separate home office/interior bedroom, this versatile layout can easily be designed to accommodate your lifestyle, whether that be separating your office from the living area or letting the creative inspiration flow through the space. Additional features include being one of only two apartments on the 9th floor, private storage, and a private washer/dryer on the floor. Built in 1925, 11 West 30th Street is a former garment manufacturing building that was converted to loft units in 1981. The building has 3 large elevators including a freight elevator, as well as a full-time superintendent who accepts packages, a management company, key-locked elevator entry and video intercom security. It is located off Fifth Avenue in prime NoMad, just a short distance from the Virgin Hotel, Madison Square Park, the finest restaurants, gourmet food shopping including a Whole Foods two streets away, high-end retailers, and fitness studios such as its neighbor CorePower Yoga.

NoMad | Manhattan

Quick Profile

NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, is a rectangular swath of land that is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue to the west, and depending who you ask, Madison or Lexington Avenue to the East. It’s had its acronymed name for over two decades but not every New Yorker calls the neighborhood NoMad.

Historic architecture, trendy hotels and restaurants and high-priced apartments - NoMad wasn’t always the coveted neighborhood that it is today. It’s gone through many transformations over the years. Including a red light district known as the Tenderloin in the 1880’s. It was a popular shopping destination and a place where high society held court in the mid 19th century. It was part of New York City’s Silicon Alley in the 1990’s.

As of lately, world class chefs and restaurants have moved into NoMad. It’s tied with Midtown Manhattan for having the most Michelin stars (six stars to date). Besides NoMad’s architecture, nightlife, and restaurants, we can’t forget the added perk of being close to other great neighborhoods and cultural institutions. NoMad’s central location makes it easier to get just about anywhere in the city. You can walk to Chelsea, West Village, Union Square or Grand Central Station in no time at all. The N, R, 1, 6, B, Q, F, and M are very close or just a few blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.
