Unit 2 is a two bedroom, two bathroom home replete with custom moldings evocative of the Brooklyn brownstone era. The floors are European 6 inch white oak and used as beautiful accent wall in the hallways and stairwells of the building. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and a high end stainless steel appliance package including Bertazzoni cooktop and a Blomberg refrigerator. The dining room/flex space is perfect for the modern homeowner by offering the functionality of being closed off as a separate room, or it can remain as is for an open concept dining room or extra living space.

The hallway has a custom built in pantry/supply closet and long luxurious corridor leading to two large bedrooms and a full bathroom with boutique hotel finishes. The primary suite can comfortably fit a king size bed and has a corridor of built in closets leading to a designer bathroom with oversized vanity. The secondary bedroom can easily accommodate a queen size bed and also features custom closets.

Continue up two flights of stairs to enter your private side of the roofdeck with a unique shipping container finish, water access, custom lighting and city views to boot. Every unit in the building has a private storage room in the cellar. Monthly taxes and common charges are comparatively low for the neighborhood at $304 and $258 respectively making this unit more affordable to purchase than to rent.

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
