Property Description for 572A Lafayette Ave, 1

Next Showings: Sunday Dec 11th, 12pm-2pm By Appointment Only
Enjoy Brooklyn townhouse living in this beautifully renovated duplex with lush back yard.
This wonderful 3BR duplex home is light-filled and airy. The open concept main floor offers both high ceilings and two walls of oversized windows, providing a sense of space not often found in New York homes. Beautiful white oak floors lead right out to a deck off the kitchen, expanding the living space to the outdoors.
The living room features a decorative fireplace, and the dining area has plenty of room to comfortably fit any size table. You will love preparing meals in the sunny, well-appointed chef's kitchen, with views into the living space and of the quiet back garden. The kitchen was thoughtfully designed with a center island, generous counter space, stainless steel appliances, and a large pantry. This level also features a pristine half bath, and opens out to the home's private deck and back yard where you can enjoy a quiet morning coffee or dine al fresco on warm evenings. The property has been beautifully landscaped with plants and trees that flower throughout the seasons.
The stairway leading to the upper level is topped with a skylight that bathes this floor in natural light. Located privately on one end of the floor, the large primary bedroom has 3 windows, a double-door closet, and room for a king sized bed plus furniture. A subway-tiled (and soundproofed!) bathroom and a full washer and dryer are located along the hallway leading to 2 more bedrooms with great closets and views of the garden.
This brick townhouse also provides central heat and A/C. There is additional storage available in the basement, shared with the garden level apartment.
It is conveniently located just a half-block from the G subway line and two blocks from Herbert Von King Park. Many neighborhood favorite restaurants and cafes are close by, including Pilar Cuban Eatery, Fan Fan Donuts, Greenberg’s Bagels, Brooklyn Kolache Coffee Shop, Macosa Trattoria, Bar Camillo, and many more!

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
