Property Description for 405 West 23rd Street, 9-C

Here's your perfect home to spread your wings and reclaim your freedom! With Eastern light and including open Southern views it'll be 'Your Happy Place'! Apartment 9C offers you a newly renovated kitchen complete with all new Stainless Steel appliances and floor to ceiling cabinetry. And talk about storage...in addition to the deep closet in the living room you'll love the private dressing room with another deep closet! The windowed bathroom is replete with the historic deep soaking tub and mid-century tile work that London Terrace is known for so you'll enjoy both starting and ending your day in your private oasis.(You'll find a Bonus Option for expansion below). Step outside and you'll find yourself surrounded by too many food options to include here but we can start with a Whole Foods down 24th Street on 7th Avenue or the giant, new one up 10th Avenue near Hudson Yards shopping. Then there's Chelsea Market which offers both food to cook or every cuisine you can imagine for indoor and outdoor dining. You're also surrounded with tons of restaurants, both old stand-bys and newly opened. Now, with all that eating, aren't you lucky that we have a half Olympic size pool...another historic and well known Chelsea Icon. The Men's and Women's locker rooms include separate Saunas and Steam Rooms and rentable lockers. Our 3000' health club is stocked with state of the art equipment including 2 Stairmasters and 2 Peleton bikes available to reserve, all for an unbelievably low Annual fee of just $400. Your landscaped roof deck offers 360 views of the city or you can watch the sailboats and ships cruise along the Hudson River. Dining al fresco is accommodated via a variety of tables, many of which offer privacy, or just hop up for sunset cocktails before dinner...you can even snip a few herbs from our garden on the way out! Maintenance includes utilities and there's underground parking available for a fee. So, don't miss this opportunity to live down the street from the High Line and all the activities at the Hudson River Park.

The Option? If you're looking for the opportunity to expand now or in the future take a look at Apartment 9B, right next door. The floor plan below will show you that you can easily break through the closets to create a large 1BR with office and 2 full, windowed baths. I know just how fabulous this can be as I owned that same combination a few floors up. Call me and I'll walk you through it OR show you 9C if that suits your needs.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
