Property Description for 250 Mercer Street, B-308

Back On Market!
Welcome to Residence B308 at the iconic 250 Mercer St; an airy and sprawling loft-like 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom located at the crossroads of Greenwich Village & Noho, arguably Downtown's most coveted neighborhoods'. This spacious home features nearly 12' ceilings, in-unit laundry, custom built-out closets, gut-renovated bathroom, marbled window sills & stainless steel appliances.

B308 offers a tremendous opportunity to expand even further, by purchasing an adjacent study (B3L), which is currently separate, perfectly suited as an office, extra storage with upside. B3L can be purchased separately (by current shareholders) or as a package with B308.

250 Mercer Street continues to be one of the most sought after pre-war co-op buildings' in the neighborhood with full-time doormen, live-in super, furnished roofdeck, courtyard, bicycle storage and additional laundry facilities. Originally built in 1890 and formerly a cast iron factory, the building was converted to residential in 1979 and offers unique loft-like layouts with pre-war details. The building has recently gone through a major renovation with new elevators, renovated lobby, designer lighting & carpeted hallways. Located at the epicenter of downtown, 250 Mercer Street is located within steps of the city's best restaurants, shopping, nightlife, cafes, NYU, Washington Square Park and surrounding neighborhoods like Soho, Nolita, West Village & beyond.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
