Property Description for 450 Warren Street, PH-5C

Our lives are made up of special moments, many of which take us by surprise. Penthouse 5C at 450 Warren strives to deliver these memorable moments in abundance each time you return to your urban sanctuary in the sky. Thoughtfully designed by Architectural Digest's Top 100 architects - SO-IL - this penthouse is reimagined for how people want to live today.

The journey begins outside of your front door as you're greeted by a private outdoor covered foyer with a bench that transitions seamlessly into your home's interior entry foyer, complete with a powder room and coat closet. Upon entering, you'll be taken by the 10-foot ceilings, light-filled open kitchen, 4 full exposures, and a great room wrapped by an enormous outdoor terrace.

The dramatic open chef's kitchen makes a bold statement with the custom center island of pink Rosa Portogallo marble and natural oak cabinetry providing ample storage all around. Outfitted with an array of Bosch Benchmark appliances, entertaining will always be effortless and pure joy.

The great room sets the standard for indoor and outdoor living with soaring 10-foot ceilings, warm blonde wide oak flooring, framed by ultra-large windows on 4 exposures that lead to your enormous private outdoor living room that features expansive views of the downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines. The layout is truly remarkable and if you've been to some penthouses and felt they were just regular apartments on the top of a building, we promise you will not feel that way here.

The thoughtful details continue in each of the three large bedrooms. They all have luxurious bathrooms, an abundance of closet space, and multiple light exposures through oversized windows. The primary bedroom suite has a floor-to-ceiling glass door opening to a secluded terrace. The primary en-suite five-piece bathroom boasts radiant flooring, a curved ceiling, and a textured glass clerestory window, which floods the matte white tiles and marble floating countertop in natural light.

Throughout the home are advanced details, such as discreet linear HVAC diffusers, in-residence Bosch washer/dryer, frameless flush doors, and museum finish floating walls and ceilings. We invite you to visit the dedicated website to explore this special residence in more depth and call us directly to arrange a private showing.

Experiencing 450 Warren is incomparable. Upon entering, the building has an enclosed elevator lobby with curved floor-to-ceiling glass, adjacent to an outdoor sculptural stairway rising into the central atrium with fully grown trees, open to the sky. Open-air walkways are laced with a nearly transparent woven metal mesh that fully encloses the walkways with plantings. The revolutionary mesh design provides an ever-changing environment that reflects the light and seasons, creating an incredible sense of community. The walkway floors are protected from the elements to prevent ice and snow with radiant heat. At 450 Warren every walk home is adjacent to greenery with light and air leading to your private foyer.

The amenities of the building are designed to foster a community with shared spaces for living and relaxing together. In addition to the central atrium, there is an open-air courtyard garden on the second floor, where residents are immersed in greenery. Added amenities include a reconfigurable co-working lounge, yoga relaxation room, a pet wash, bicycle storage, and parking for purchase is offered with this penthouse. All of this is ensconced in the thriving neighborhoods of Boerum Hill and Gowanus central to everything that makes Brooklyn one of the hottest destinations on the planet.

Boerum Hill | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Boerum Hill is a tiny, quiet, primarily residential neighborhood in Brooklyn. There are broad tree-lined streets that are filled with elegant three and four-story brownstones and townhouses, mostly built between 1840 and 1870. There is a definite family vibe to the neighborhood, but young professionals are moving in, and with them are coming trendy bars to cater to their desire for some measure of nightlife, without having to linger in Manhattan. These new bars and restaurants are being sandwiched in amongst existing shops on both Atlantic Avenue and Smith Street, which are the main commercial areas in Boerum Hill.

Boerum Hill offers a convenient location that is still able to maintain its small-neighborhood feel. Shopkeepers value their customers and remember their regulars. It continues to do what it was designed to do, namely provide small-town living in the very shadow of the big city. Boerum Hill is an easy commute to other parts of the city, making it easy to come home every day to the peace and tranquility of Boerum Hill while commuting to a job anywhere in the city.

The neighborhood is quite walkable and you can take the time to catch up with your neighbors while visiting on their stoops. Shopping on Atlantic Avenue is stress-free with no high pressure. You can meet with friends at any of the many coffee shops and while away pleasant hours in conversation. The dining scene on Smith Street is similarly laid-back. Don’t expect that there will be quite as much to see or do as there is in Manhattan, but there are a decent number of interesting bars and restaurants providing a measure of nightlife. The trade-off is worth it, as Boerum Hill provides a quiet, peaceful place to live and raise a family.
