Property Description for 415 East 52nd Street, 10-DB

Welcome to 10DB, a 1,300+ square foot west and north facing corner two-bed two-bath.

This move-in ready home is well maintained and offers a gracious entry foyer, a large living and dining room, two corner bedrooms, and two renovated bathrooms. The west-facing balcony overlooks the planted and landscaped entry of Sutton House.

The classic oak floors go throughout the home along with built-ins in every room. With double French doors, the large second bedroom can also be used as a study or den.

Converted to a cooperative in 1981, Sutton House is located on one of the rare Manhattan cul-de-sacs offering both a serene, tree-lined block while still being in the heart of Sutton Place. Built in 1956 with 287 units, the building is a 19-story tower flanked by two 12-story wings.

Sutton House is a full-service doorman building with a twenty-four-hour garage (reduced rate for shareholders), large fitness center ($190 year), children’s playroom, bicycle storage room, storage bins, updated laundry facilities, bulk cable rate, and building-wide Culligan water filtration system. Washer/Dryers are permitted in the larger two-bedroom units and above. Pets are welcome

Beekman Place | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Beekman Place is less of a neighborhood than it is a quiet two-block enclave just north of the United Nations on the far eastern edge of Turtle Bay. There is only one street that runs through the neighborhood, also called Beekman Place, that wraps itself around 49th Street and 51st Street.

This bucolic little stretch of the east side has always been a cherished spot for those fortunate enough to have found refuge here. The noise and the street traffic from the city surrounds is virtually non-existent as there are no through streets in this neighborhood.

The neighborhood composition largely consists of a few clusters of townhouses and prewar co-ops. The exception to the rule is the charming art-deco-styled Beekman Place Hotel at the corner of First Avenue and 49th Street and the two post-war towers, 860 and 870 UN Plaza that front the grounds of the United Nations.
