Property Description for 181 Hudson Street, 1-C

Welcome home! Get ready to call this one-of-a-kind, turn-key duplex condo with soaring ceilings your new home. Before you enter your home, you'll walk down the cobblestone-lined Vestry Street and into your private entrance. As you enter your home, you're welcome to a proper foyer with an incredible amount of custom built-in storage, bench seating, and tremendous light from your wall windows. Your home offers the perfect balance of elegance, modern aesthetic, and character with custom millwork cabinetry through your first floor and an unbelievable original steel column that was restored, highlighting your loft's incredible history. Your sense of the living space is magnified by the openness of your living and dining area, the extra high 12' ceilings, and your near-floor-to-ceiling windows. Do you love to cook? Then this modern chef's kitchen was built for you, with high-end SubZero, Viking, and Bosch appliances, including a hood that vents out with sleek cabinetry. Your beautiful island perfectly complements your kitchen as you can mingle with your guests while cooking up a beautiful feast for them. The openness of your common area makes it the perfect space to entertain your guests and have lots of fun dinner parties or gatherings. As you exit the living area into your primary suite, you'll find oversized walk-in closets on opposite ends of the room. When you need a little R&R, you can take a nice, relaxing bath in your deep soaking tub. Your bathroom was built to be very spa-like, with updated stone tile, Dombracht fixtures, a deep soaking tub, and a rain shower to help you relax and wind down at the end of your day. And that's just the first floor. Did I mention that there are two floors in this duplex? Next, let's make your way downstairs, where you'll find a large den area perfect for movie nights or playing games. You have two windowed sleeping areas and a bonus room where you can work from home in your home office or for guests in the guest bedroom. You also have a customized laundry room - not a closet - for all your laundry needs. The bathrooms and laundry rooms were both renovated with sleek and modern finishes. There is currently an assessment of $992.51 in place until June 2024. Not only is this home magnificent, but so is its location and the street it's ideally located on: Vestry Street. Vestry Place is a highly sought-after condominium, minutes away from Hudson River Park, the Google and Disney campuses, and some of the best restaurants, cafes, and shopping that you'll find in New York City. And for the history buffs, your brick and limestone home was originally a printing house converted to 33 lofts in 1984. The facade was recently restored, and the building features a smart access system, video intercom, security, renovated hallways, lobbies, updated elevators, and a roof. Best of all, it is pet friendly for your fur babies. Close to the 1, A, C, E, and F subway lines and various buses.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
