Welcome to this beautiful home in the heart of Manhattan, offering a serene oasis in the coveted "old world charm" Beekman neighborhood. This singular and the only 3-apartment combination at Stewart Hall (10 Mitchell Place) with three wood-burning fireplaces spans the entire width of the Co-op. This approximately 1,950 sqft home is north-facing and features beautiful private gardens and brownstone views from each of its rooms and bathrooms and is pin drop quiet all day long.

The current generous layout accommodates 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, kitchen, large dining / living room, an adjacent wet bar with sink, ice maker and a fridge for entertaining which can further expand by opening the pocket doors into the adjoining library. One of the bedrooms as well as the library exhibit an impressive custom carpentry work. The custom built-in banquette seating in the library houses a full-sized pullout bed. The primary bedroom has a remarkable built-in closet space. A multitude of closets throughout provide abundant storage space. The bathrooms feature a jacuzzi tub, a shower and Czech and Speake hardware. The brand-new double pane windows have just been installed and heating/cooling is through the wall PTAC units. A washer/dryer is allowed in the apartment and can be installed in the closet next to the powder room.

The generous layout could be reconfigured should a future owner desire to have an open kitchen / living / dining room. Please see the alternative floorplan for details.

This is a one-of-a-kind home - schedule an appointment today to experience its tranquility and style.

Beekman Place | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Beekman Place is less of a neighborhood than it is a quiet two-block enclave just north of the United Nations on the far eastern edge of Turtle Bay. There is only one street that runs through the neighborhood, also called Beekman Place, that wraps itself around 49th Street and 51st Street.

This bucolic little stretch of the east side has always been a cherished spot for those fortunate enough to have found refuge here. The noise and the street traffic from the city surrounds is virtually non-existent as there are no through streets in this neighborhood.

The neighborhood composition largely consists of a few clusters of townhouses and prewar co-ops. The exception to the rule is the charming art-deco-styled Beekman Place Hotel at the corner of First Avenue and 49th Street and the two post-war towers, 860 and 870 UN Plaza that front the grounds of the United Nations.
