Property Description for 416 East 50th Street

416 East 50th Street offers a fantastic opportunity to own a renovated income producing property on a quiet street, in the heart of the highly desirable Beekman Place.

A spacious Three-Family Townhouse, it is currently configured as a first floor two-bedroom duplex that features a beautiful private garden in rear; a third floor three-bedroom duplex with a spiral staircase leading to a large, private roof deck; and a second floor one-bedroom apartment.

All three apartments have an expansive footprint, high ceilings, upgraded kitchens (with new, full size-appliances) and bathrooms, an in-unit washer/dryer, and tremendous sunlight. Each apartment has a wood-burning working fireplace, and each comes with an extra-large walled-in storage room in the basement.

The one-bedroom apartment is rented. The two duplexes are listed for rent but are currently vacant. Alternatively, one of the duplex apartments could be used by the owner as an owner’s apartment, while keeping the other two units as income producing.

416 East 50th Street is conveniently positioned near fine dining, lovely coffee shops and major subway and bus lines.

*Please note that the pictures of the furnished rooms have been virtually staged to provide a sense of scale.

Beekman Place | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Beekman Place is less of a neighborhood than it is a quiet two-block enclave just north of the United Nations on the far eastern edge of Turtle Bay. There is only one street that runs through the neighborhood, also called Beekman Place, that wraps itself around 49th Street and 51st Street.

This bucolic little stretch of the east side has always been a cherished spot for those fortunate enough to have found refuge here. The noise and the street traffic from the city surrounds is virtually non-existent as there are no through streets in this neighborhood.

The neighborhood composition largely consists of a few clusters of townhouses and prewar co-ops. The exception to the rule is the charming art-deco-styled Beekman Place Hotel at the corner of First Avenue and 49th Street and the two post-war towers, 860 and 870 UN Plaza that front the grounds of the United Nations.
