Property Description

Nestled amongst the treetops in the Bedford Stuyvesant historic neighborhood in Brooklyn, this one-bedroom condo is an open, airy retreat with exclusive outdoor space and views of the Manhattan skyline.

An open concept floor-plan provides plenty of room for dining, relaxing, and entertaining, with an open kitchen and living room featuring 9-foot ceilings. A wall of doors and windows allow abundant sunlight into the space, and all are double-paned for maximum noise reduction. Brand-new Islandaire PTAC units provide both air conditioning and heating for year-round comfort. The living room opens through sliding glass doors onto a balcony overlooking brownstones, treetops, and the Empire State Building in the distance. With ample space for a table, chairs and plants, the balcony makes a perfect spot to WFH, dine alfresco, watch the sunset, or enjoy cocktails with guests.

The kitchen provides plenty of storage, a stainless steel gas range, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher, as well as Corian countertops and a new touchless faucet and dimmable energy-efficient LED chandelier. The bathroom offers a rainfall shower and deep soaking tub to relax after a long day, and the bedroom is large enough for a queen bed and boasts a large closet with plenty of storage space. Additional in-unit storage is available in a large hall closet and a generously sized utility closet, which houses an in-unit washer and dryer.

The building features a Carson Remote Doorman service with 24/7 live operators for the security and convenience of residents, which can be accessed via mobile app and connects to the package room for deliveries while you're away. A small gym in the lower level of the building is available to owners 24/7, and the Bedford YMCA across the street offers fitness classes, equipment, pool and saunas.

The location can't be beat: the building sits on the border between BedStuy and Clinton Hill, with access to a bustling bar and restaurant scene as well as a community art gallery, pottery studio, plant stores, coffee shops, and a plethora of global cuisines. Hip hop legends Biggie Smalls and ODB are memorialized in public murals nearby for their outsize influence on the culture of BedStuy. SEED on Bedford Avenue continues the legacy with artist collectibles, streetwear and high end sneakers, while Playground Coffee is dedicated to supporting BIPOC community members with education, a lending library and events. For those who love the outdoors, Prospect Park, Fort Greene Park, and the Kosciuszko Olympic-size public pool are all within close proximity, as are several local greenmarkets and dozens of community gardens.

Meticulously maintained by the current owners since it was built in 2008, this condo unit is in a well-managed building with low common charges and a 421a tax abatement, making this a perfect home.

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
