Property Description for 420 East 51st Street, 14-E

Low price lower mortgage payments - this is an INCREDIBLE VALUE. And yes, this apartment is as nice as it looks in the photos!

Located on a dreamy tree-lined cul-de-sac, this elegant and very spacious two bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home has been lovingly renovated.

One enters into an impressive marble foyer with a beautifully designed powder room. The truly grand-scaled living room has a separate, sizable dining area, perfect for entertaining. The roomy windowed kitchen has been updated and offers terrific storage and counter space.

Each of the oversized bedrooms have wide open South City views. The primary bedroom has a large windowed bathroom plus a true walk-in closet. The second bedroom is as large as a living room in any other apartment and also has an en suite bathroom. Other apartment features include through the wall HVACs and generous closets throughout.

420 Beekman Hill is a full-service co-op with a stunning lobby showcasing an impressive double height ceiling. There is a gorgeous landscaped roof deck with panoramic River and City views. Additional building amenities include a 24-hour doorman, gym, cold storage, central laundry room, charming courtyard with a grill, resident superintendent, bike room, garage (reduced rate for owners) and even a pet bathing area. This pet friendly building permits pied a terres.

Located between the highly desirable Beekman Place and 1st Avenue, this area is overflowing with restaurants and is convenient to transportation, such as the 6/E/M trains.

This is a land lease building, expiring in 2070, offering unbelievable value for this prestigious location. The alternate floor plan is a proposed concept and would need Board approval post-closing.

Net maintenance of $4,038 reflects a $1,000/month rebate which will be paid by the sellers for 4 YEARS ($48,000 BENEFIT TO BUYER). The actual maintenance is $5,038.

Beekman Place | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Beekman Place is less of a neighborhood than it is a quiet two-block enclave just north of the United Nations on the far eastern edge of Turtle Bay. There is only one street that runs through the neighborhood, also called Beekman Place, that wraps itself around 49th Street and 51st Street.

This bucolic little stretch of the east side has always been a cherished spot for those fortunate enough to have found refuge here. The noise and the street traffic from the city surrounds is virtually non-existent as there are no through streets in this neighborhood.

The neighborhood composition largely consists of a few clusters of townhouses and prewar co-ops. The exception to the rule is the charming art-deco-styled Beekman Place Hotel at the corner of First Avenue and 49th Street and the two post-war towers, 860 and 870 UN Plaza that front the grounds of the United Nations.
