Property Description for 107 West 26th Street, 2

No detail was spared during the renovations of this one-of-a-kind full-floor loft. Stretching over 2,100 square feet, the owner has completely reconfigured the space and brought back the original charm to this NoMad loft. A private key-locked elevator brings you directly into the home where you are immediately greeted by the expansive great room. With over 31 feet in length in the living room alone, you can seamlessly host and entertain. A wall of oversized south-facing living windows fills the space with light all throughout the day. This bespoke home highlights the loft's original features including tall ceilings, and exposed brick, married with new seven-inch wide white oak plank floors. The custom chef's kitchen is adorned with carefully selected materials such as a Calacatta Gold marble countertop and Thassos marble backsplash paired with custom WaterWorks fixtures. Designed with the most discerning chefs in mind, a top-of-the-line appliance package includes a six-burner Wolf range-top with a fully vented hood, a Wolf double wall-oven, a 36-inch Sub-Zero fridge, a 24-inch dual zone Sub-Zero wine fridge, a Wolf built-in microwave, and a Miele self-open dishwasher. At the opposite end of the home, the sleeping areas are a quiet retreat. The spacious primary bedroom easily accommodates a king-size bed and a separate seating area. A pass-through dressing room leads to the luxurious bathroom. Over 100 square feet by itself, the primary bathroom features plumbing fixtures by WaterWorks including a two-person clawfoot tub, an oversized shower, and a double sink with a Carrara marble top. Handmade subway tiles on all four walls and the Terrazzo radiant heated floors create a spa-like feel. The secondary bedroom has ample storage and direct access to the adjacent bathroom which has beveled subway tiles on all four walls, a Carrara vanity top, WaterWorks plumbing fixtures, and radiant heat. A separate den or home office completes the space. Additional features include a Crestron Home automation system that controls lighting and Audio/Video, a full-sized laundry room with a vented dryer and a sink, and an abundance of closet space throughout. 107 West 26th Street is a discreet four-unit condo building at the intersection of Chelsea and NoMad and provides its residents with access to some of the city's best restaurants, parks, and entertainment minutes from your door. Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
