Property Description for 405 West 23rd Street, 3-G

Back from it's kitchen renovation, Apartment 3G just got even better! You asked for a full sized Fridge to complete this large, working kitchen and we addressed your dreams! Creating the perfect "Cooks Triangle" you'll find plenty of counter space between your stove, refrigerator, and sink.

Your "Lofty Ambitions" will certainly be fulfilled upon entering apartment 3G as the kitchen has been opened to experience the full expanse of your home. The counterspace and natural light enhance your cooking and serving options, with full length cabinetry leading into the living area. Custom cabinetry provides plenty of storage and granite countertops are well lit by overhead and under cabinet lighting, adding to nature's abundance.

Views from your three over-sized windows pour in open south light and views, including a tree changing with the seasons and providing privacy and a barrier to the sounds of the city. "Too sunny", you say? Not when you activate the remote shades; you can select either the sun shade, blackout, or both!

The owner has added remarkable, custom pieces providing a variety of living options. For instance, in consideration of multiple occupants, you'll find a moveable dressing table topped in black walnut with storage and lighting incorporated, and a cushy matching bench. Another custom feature is the bed created within the alcove, concealed behind a floor to ceiling drape, when closed. The astonishing feature is the second bed above. Yes, dear, otherwise known as a bunk. Don't pre-judge as this is the perfect solution for weekend guests without compromising your furnishing style. It might also come in handy if you and your BFF have a few too many, or...well, there are so many options! Btw, that railing on the top can easily slide out of the way.
BTW, love the furniture? Maybe you can just bring your suitcase. Let's talk.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
