Property Description for 50 Lexington Ave, 20-EF

Manhattans streets are invigorating, and many covet the opportunity to take it all in from a birds eye view. Those who seek the best of both worlds need look no further than the oasis of apartment #20EF at 50 Lexington.
This rarely available, high-floor corner unit is located at 24th & Lex in the heart of the vibrating Flatiron District. The serene haven of the 20th floor offers picturesque sights of a vibrant cityscape. The dreamscape views are breathtaking, providing a venue for both gregarious party hosts and meditative city-dwellers. From a bedroom private balcony to the large terrace off the living room, the home offers the hard-working Manhattanite a front row seat to the Clocktower building, the Chrysler building, the East River, and the downtown Manhattan Skyline.
The three full bedroom, two full bath apartment was combined, gutted, and renovated from head to toe in 2019, marrying New Yorks historic past with her modern age. Upon entering the residence, one is welcomed by enthralling light, be that in bright daytime or in glittering twilight. Friendly beams dance their way across sleek hardwood floors, Caesarstone quartz countertops and shimmering snowy walls.
From there, the ubiquitous glow leaps to varied areas of the home, entreating both resident and guest to follow. After crossing the threshold of the intimate foyer, one can journey to the following enclaves.
Just off the intimate foyer one makes their way into the brand-new chefs kitchen. The eat-in space is complete with wooden cabinets, quartz countertops, Liebherr refrigerator, Bertazonni Range, Sharp Drawer Micro, and a sleek dishwasher. Whether its inviting a date for a late-night glass of wine, chatting with an old friend over hors doeuvres or learning about the kids day at school, the warm kitchen is sure to please.
Beyond that lies the wide-open living room; a multiuser space for fun-filled game nights, rowdy TV football games, classy cocktail evenings, grueling work-out routines, or cozy book-filled afternoons. The living room is characterized by its abundance of natural light, making it a very bright and welcoming space. Large windows that wrap around the entire apartment allow plenty of sunlight to stream in, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
In addition to the spectacular large windows, the Master Bedroom also features a spacious walk-in closet with built in shelves and drawers which provides for plenty of storage space while keeping the bedroom clutter-free. The Master Bath features a standing shower, an integrated Japanese Toto toilet and both it and the Guest Bath house an abundance of smooth marble.

Quick Profile

If you take a walk through Kips Bay, which is loosely defined as the area between 23rd street and 34th street and the East River to almost Lexington, you’ll quickly learn it's a hodgepodge of sorts and not as well defined as other neighborhoods in New York City. Some New Yorkers say Kips Bay has an identity crisis because 1st, 2nd, and 3rd avenues are distinctly different from one another as you traverse them. Despite the perceived lack of neighborhood vibe there are others that appreciate its affordability and convenience.

First Avenue is dominated by hospitals and hospital buildings such as NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital to name a few. Second Avenue is a mosaic of convenience stores, fast food joints and nondescript brick buildings. Third Avenue is saturated with small bars and gastropubs and the twenty somethings that patronize them.

No judgement against Kips Bay here. It’s a great neighborhood that is just as much a part of New York City as any other neighborhood. Kips Bay It’s bordered by Murray Hill to the North, Stuyvesant Town and Gramercy Park to the South, and Rose Hill to the West. The neighborhood is partly defined by newer high-rise apartments, brick rowhouses, and former tenement buildings.
