Property Description for 214 West 15th Street, 4

**FURNISHED OR UNFURNISHED** Welcome to The Sebastian, a boutique condominium in the heart of Chelsea with only 6 residences. LOFT 4 is the first, and only, opportunity to rent in such an intimate and highly regarded building and location. Just recently completed from the ground up and beautifully decorated by the current owner, this home is not short of detail. As you enter off the key locked elevator, you are welcomed directly into the entry hall which will lead you towards the rest of the apartment. The grand, open-plan great room spans an astonishing 45 feet, providing ample living and dining space. The southern, tree lined exposure offers a continuous flood of light throughout the day as well as your own private terrace. The terrace is extremely village-like and bathed in southern sun, and has enough room for a dining table and seating area. In this area is a full bath that can be used as a powder or guest bath. Alongside this space, you will find the exquisitely designed, state of the art kitchen. Not only are there stunning carrera marble countertops, but you're also equipped with a 48" sub zero fridge, 5-burner Wolf stove, speed oven and warming drawers. The large pantry allows for a significant amount of storage space and is complete with a marvelous 160 bottle wine fridge. There is also a handy "coffee area" hidden behind the custom cabinetry, and a garbage disposal. The ensuite, light filled primary bedroom features an immaculate 5-fixture bathroom, fit with Ceppo di Gre marble, concrete floors and a black oak vanity. In addition, there is your own built in office space and two large walk in closets. The other two guest rooms can be found on the opposite end of the hallway along with two additional full sized bathrooms. Each bedroom faces onto tree-lined 15th street and consists of the same floor to ceiling windows; offering endless amounts of light. The apartment has a full-sized laundry room with sink and drying rack, tons of closet space, multi-zoned central air, and high, airy ceilings. The Sebastian is the ultimate private oasis in the nexus of Chelsea, Meatpacking and the West Village. There is a part-time doorman and storage for each residence. You don't want to miss out on this incredibly quiet and elegant home which can be offered both furnished and unfurnished (please inquire about details around the furnished rental). Available June 1st for long-term leases only. Pets welcome.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
