Property Description for 301 Greene Ave, 2

This masterfully renovated and restored Italianate townhouse built in the 1899 was completely reimagined from the inside out. The home retains it's historic red brick facade curb appeal and restored prewar details while providing the ultimate in modern comfort and convenience. Designed by Rapha Elbaz a master in the art of mix. The interiors were gutted and in came a casually elegant layout determined by Elbaz's passion for modern and contemporary art. The bohemian chic triplex offers 5 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, a sunny expensive deck off the kitchen areas and a lush garden. The Parlor level is a sanctuary of calm. Grey-washed wide plank floors, white brick walls, a couple of restored marble fireplaces and 11' ceilings. The chef's kitchen comes with Aster Cucina Italian cabinetry, the prerequisite of high-end appliances, a raw-concrete waterfall island, and large panty storage with driftwood-restored doors. Two doors lead to an extra wide sunny deck and a stair down to a landscaped garden. Head upstairs to the primary bedroom level, a full-width primary bedroom with a seating area, leading to a high end Avera walk-in closet, and en-suite unique 4-fixture bathroom with water-based cement walls and handmade clay tiles. A sunny home office/family den/guest room on this level as well. The top floor has three additional bedrooms another stunning skylit bathroom and a large laundry room. This is a smart home for easy living; Each level has an individually Nest controlled HVAC unit, Living room level with Sonos speakers, security camera, and Lutron lighting system all controlled via your phone. The home is exquisitely furnished and equipped and ready for immediate occupancy. Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
