Residence 2F is a beautifully furnished modern one-bedroom, one-bathroom home located in The Jefferson, a full-service, eco-friendly new construction condominium. Situated on a serene Village block between Third and Second Avenue, 211 East 13th Street is just moments from Union Square Park. A gracious foyer flows freely into the living room with flexibility for dining, entertaining and home office areas. The interior is bathed in natural light through expansive, southern-facing high-performance double-paned windows; bringing the outside “in,” this floor-to-ceiling wall of glass opens to reveal a Juliet balcony perched over tree-lined East 13th Street. The living space is furnished with premium pieces from Organic Modernism, BoConcept, BluDot, Design Within Reach, and CB2; audio/visual components include a Smart TV, Google Chromecast, curved LG high-res computer monitor and a set of Yamaha HS7 studio speaker monitors. The open chef’s kitchen centers on a large Corian breakfast bar (cooking utensils and tableware from the Gordon Ramsay Collection). Natural oak paneling on the ceiling and walls defines this space designed by Eggersmann Home Living, a European cabinetry company esteemed for its sustainable practices and materials. The kitchen is equipped with a seamlessly integrated 36" Sub-Zero refrigerator with two freezer drawers, a Wolf gas range and microwave oven, Sub-Zero 26-bottle wine refrigerator, vented Broan hood and Bosch dishwasher. The primary bedroom also faces south and boasts the same wall of windows and a second Juliet balcony. Directly across is a sumptuous bathroom outfitted with a Basaltina stone floor, honed limestone walls, a vanity crafted from reclaimed barn wood, GlassCrafters two-door medicine cabinet, and premium fixtures by LeFroy Brooks and Restoration Hardware. Linens and towels from MUJI will be provided. Other highlights include a full-sized Asko washer & dryer, Somfy shade automation system, central air conditioning and heating, HUE smart lighting system, lofty 9’2" ceiling heights, and wide-plank oak flooring throughout. Replete with amenities, the building features a 24/7 doorman and live-in resident manager, state-of-the-art fitness facility, resident lounge and business center. A furnished rooftop landscaped by Town & Gardens with panoramic views is appointed with an outdoor shower, multiple barbecue grills and a pergola. The Jefferson is a premier condominium conveniently situated at the nexus of Greenwich Village, East Village, Union Square and Gramercy and in close proximity to some of Downtown's finest restaurants, shopping, markets (Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Westside Market), and parks (Union Square, Stuyvesant Square and Tompkins Square). The building, on the former site of the famous vaudeville era Jefferson Theater, showcases a dramatic design by award-winning BKSK Architects that pays homage to the location’s storied past. 211 East 13th Street received LEED Gold certification, a rare achievement as a result of its “green” initiatives.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
