Property Description for 216 Pulaski Street, 3-L

216 Pulaski is in a well-thought-out and intelligently designed boutique condo building, and the apartment is a spacious and airy loft residence. Exposed brick, incredibly high ceilings (10 feet), and colonial grid windows adding loads of charm and pouring in sunlight are just a few of the design elements that this unique and timeless property has to offer. Located in the heart of Bed-stuy, one of Brooklyn’s most exciting yet neighborhood-y feeling areas, the apartment is right off the ever-developing and trendy main drag of Throop Ave, and a less than 5-minute walk from the lush Herbert Von King Park (which includes a generous lawn, dog parks, two playgrounds, courts, outdoor gym, and a new cultural center hosting events like SummerStage), and the charming Tompkins Avenue "main street" replete with independent bookstores, cafes, shops, and popular bars and restaurants with friendly staffers and a watchful merchants' association. 216 Pulaski is the perfect residence for anyone searching for a tight-knit community to call home in Brooklyn. 216 Pulaski offers easy commuting through the G, JMZ, and AC trains which will deliver you all over Brooklyn and into Manhattan in less than 30 min, as well as buses to downtown Brooklyn and northern Brooklyn (Williamsburg, Bushwick, Greenpoint) less than 1 block away. Residence 3L is a corner unit with double exposure, and with a very generous 676 sf loft-like space offering room to breathe and relax in your Brooklyn oasis. With a beautifully designed and large bathroom (with in-unit washer/dryer), boasting Spanish tiles, brass fixtures, an oversized stall shower, and a fully equipped efficiently made kitchen with Bertazzoni appliances, this unit has it all.

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
