Property Description for 100 Barclay Street, 17-N

Welcome to 100 Barclay, the epitome of Tribeca living!

Residence 17N is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home spanning across 1,986 square feet. With gorgeous 7 foot casement windows, 10 foot ceilings, and 4 inch white oak floors, the proportions of the space are abundant with generous light and air.

The deluxe walnut-paneled front doors opened directly into the entertainment areas of the home, including the kitchen, dining, and living room. Perfectly placed, southern exposures allow for amazing light and a view of the Hudson River. Adjacently located, the open kitchen allows for smooth transition, perfect for entertaining. Featuring custom cabinetry and hardware, Calacatta Fold marble countertops and backsplash, and state-of-the-art appliances, including a Sub-zero refrigerator/freezer and wine refrigerator, a Miele dishwasher and speed oven, and a wolf gas range and oven, which are fully vented by a recessed stainless steel hood and feature a Dornracht pot-filler faucet. This is truly a chef's kitchen with an island that spaciously seats five.

All three bedrooms are located off of the living space, providing great privacy, yet maintaining the open-loft ambiance. The primary suite features a luxuriously finished bathroom with radiant floor heating, polished Calacatta Gold marble floor and wall tiles, a custom vanity and fixtures, a deck-mounted bathtub by Waterworks, and a steam shower. Closet space does not come up short with the huge walk-in-closet with shelving and additional two closets. The remaining two secondary bedrooms similarly offer generous closet space, and gorgeous bathrooms. With high-honed Vanilla Cream marble vanity tops and herringbone floor tiles with crackle-glazed white ceramic wall tile, one bedroom is an en-suite, and the other is just feet away. No detail was overlooked in apartment 17N featuring a multi-zoned heating and cooling system, carefully controlling the interior climate throughout, and the convenient laundry closet, including a washer and vented dryer by LG.

One Hundred Barclay was designed by Ralph Walker in 1927 and has since been landmarked with its timeless Art-Deco lobby, evocatively capturing the New York style. The entire building underwent a notable and meticulous restoration in 2014 that maintained Walkers most prized creation - the first Art Deco tower in the world.

One Hundred Barclay offers an extraordinary amenity program. Made up of over 40,000 square feet, each amenity space was conscientiously chosen for resident needs and lifestyle, contributing to one of the best buildings in Tribeca. Services and amenities include: 24-hour doorman and concierge, fitness center designed by The Wright Fit, an 82-foot lap pool, children's pool, and spa and treatment rooms. The program continues at the club level on the 18th floor where a billiards room, a lounge with bar and dining room, four outdoor terraces, children's playroom, teen lounge, wine tasting room and music practice rooms are all located.

All of this, plus the coveted Tribeca location could be yours. Multiple nearby parks and Hudson River, Brookfield place, a premier shopping and eating destination, Whole Foods, Eataly, the West Side Highway, Oculus Station and Citi Bike, all make this a picture-perfect neighborhood.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
