Property Description for 870 United Nations Plaza, 19-F

VIEWS! VIEWS! VIEWS!
GRAND 3 BEDROOM / 3 BATHROOM
W/D, UN PLAZA
AMENITIES GALORE, PETS OKAY

INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE IN THE BEST CORNER OF UN PLAZA. Your new home is a S-P-R-A-W-L-I-N-G three bedroom / three bathroom residence with STUNNING panoramic unobstructed views of the East River, the United Nations, Roosevelt Island, Brooklyn, Queens and beyond...HUGE almost floor to ceiling windows in every room. You'll love the romantic views of the river and the dramatic expanse of the Verrazano Bridge and the Queens Borough Bridge. Watch the planes fly to and fro and this expansive vista included LaGuardia Airport. You'll love the light that joyfully pours in from the East and South all day long.

Pass through the threshold into your entrance foyer and continue on into your large elegant gallery, all will be immediately mesmerized by the magnetic pull of sparkling water views. As you continue on into your commodious 33 foot long corner living room your breath will be taken away by some of New York's most iconic landmarks - the Pepsi Sign, Four Freedoms Park, the Williamsburg Bridge, Silver Cup Studios, the Williamsburgh Savings Tower, the Chrysler Building and more. Imagine sipping your morning coffee as the sun slowly rises on the horizon with the light dancing on the peaceful river below. You will be able to relax watching the ferries racing across the water as well as the barges as they move slowly along the waterway. You'll love the continuous show day and night as the city comes alive. It's all here ...the Macy's Fireworks display from the privacy of your own home.

Did I mention you will enjoy these magnificent views from every room? THERE'S MORE HERE THAN EVER BEFORE.

Everyone knows the kitchen is the "Heart of the Home" and you will appreciate your massive updated windowed eat-in kitchen. Think Sub Zero refrigeration, Viking double wall oven, Miele dishwasher, Dacor built-in microwave over a 4 burner cooktop, and a wine fridge...all stainless steel, of course. Think custom white cabinets contrasted beautifully by dramatic black floor tiles and backsplash, countertops and motorized blinds. Think under the cabinet task lighting and recessed downlights. And don't forget the LG washer/dryer combo concealed in a matching cabinet to preserve the sleek, elegant look of the kitchen. The current owner partially opened the wall between the kitchen and the third bedroom to use as a dining room. You can easily restore the wall to recreate a bedroom or open the kitchen further. The possibilities are endless.

But wait...there's more!

Continue on into your bedroom wing. The door leading from the gallery to the bedroom hallway can be closed for extra privacy. Your S-P-A-C-I-O-U-S almost 28 foot long primary bedroom has ample room for a California king sized bed with loads of room to spare, a wall of almost floor to ceiling windows, and three closets...one is a large walk-in. There is even a built-in safe for all your valuables. The en-suite bath has marble floors and walls, under the sink storage, two oversized medicine cabinets, Toto commode and a deep soaking tub with shower combo. We all know that a soaking tub is the best way to end a long day.

Your generous almost 25 foot long second bedroom has room for a California king sized bed, two deep closets and a wall of almost floor to ceiling windows. Your second bath is luxurious too.

Your third bedroom that now functions as a dining area currently opens into the kitchen and has a closet and en suite bath with marble walls and floors, two medicine cabinets, under the sink storage and a walk-in shower.

You'll appreciate that two of the nine closets are walk -ins. You can never have too many closets!

Beekman Place | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Beekman Place is less of a neighborhood than it is a quiet two-block enclave just north of the United Nations on the far eastern edge of Turtle Bay. There is only one street that runs through the neighborhood, also called Beekman Place, that wraps itself around 49th Street and 51st Street.

This bucolic little stretch of the east side has always been a cherished spot for those fortunate enough to have found refuge here. The noise and the street traffic from the city surrounds is virtually non-existent as there are no through streets in this neighborhood.

The neighborhood composition largely consists of a few clusters of townhouses and prewar co-ops. The exception to the rule is the charming art-deco-styled Beekman Place Hotel at the corner of First Avenue and 49th Street and the two post-war towers, 860 and 870 UN Plaza that front the grounds of the United Nations.
