Property Description for 100 West 15th Street, 1-A

Incredible opportunity to sublet a FULLY FURNISHED one bedroom, two bathroom duplex co-op with private outdoor space. Located at the crossroads of Chelsea, Greenwich Village, and the West Village. Walking into this apartment is like coming home to a Zen oasis where you can immediately relax from the intensity of the city. The design is impeccable! Having undergone a complete renovation and restoration from head-to-toe, no bricks, beams, or surfaces were left untouched. Intricate wood and exposed brick details are abundant. They have all been stripped, hand-sanded, and re-stained to look brand new and to fit the special vibe of this incredible space -- warm, inviting, tranquil, even sexy. Upon entering the first level which is incredibly lofty (think double-height ceilings) and are greeted by a south facing view of the garden, a perfect green space escape. Bioethanol fireplace in the living room, Moroccan light fixtures in every room, the original staircase in perfect condition. A kitchen that stands hidden behind reclaimed doors manages to include top of the line appliances such as a Sub-Zero refrigerator with a double freezer and a Miele dishwasher and oven. A filtered water faucet sits on the kitchen sink. The upstairs bedroom suite is the full width of the apartment with a glass wall that offers privacy from downstairs. Closet space can be found in two huge free-standing armoires. The luxe primary bathroom has been designed with custom concrete wall finishes and a Graff rain shower system. There is a large closet through the bathroom that has a washer/dryer hookup. The first-floor bathroom is similarly outfitted -- and a true bonus to have two full bathrooms in this home! The birsdeye view from the upstairs bedroom looks like it has come straight from a page of Architectural Digest. Exposed brick from top to bottom, and tastefully completed with custom wood flooring, it will be sure to impress anyone who visits. Two wall-mounted HVAC units are sufficient to cool off the entire space and if you prefer fresh air, there are two oversized French doors that can be opened with sliding screens. The private landscaped garden has been furnished with two designated areas – one for dining and the other for lounging. 100 West 15th Street is comprised of 5-stories and 44-units, the building features an elevator, video intercom with remote accessibility, recently renovated laundry room, and package room.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
