Property Description for 108 Leonard Street, 4-I

Paying homage to the most coveted elements of an architectural masterpiece at 108 Leonard, ornamental majesty and historic provenance are leveraged anew with fresh modern forms and contemporary design priorities.

This 1,093 square foot 1-bedroom with library, 2-bath residence features an open layout that has been thoughtfully designed. A formal entry gallery provides a gracious transition to the substantial Great Room. The Library features an en suite bath, which allows for greater flexibility. This particular residence is offered in the Sand palette with wide plank blond oak flooring arranged in a chevron pattern. The open Scavolini Kitchen has been custom designed by Jeffrey Beers International exclusively for 108 Leonard and features a waterfall island and Calacatta Vagli marble countertops and backsplash. Premium Miele appliances complement this extraordinary space and include an integrated refrigerator, 4-burner gas cooktop, electric speed oven and wine refrigerator.

A distinct entry vestibule creates a sense of privacy and seclusion for the Master Suite, which boasts a substantial walk-in closet and sumptuous en suite bath with high-honed Calacatta Mandria marble floors and walls. Fantini polished chrome fixtures complement the custom double vanity, oversized shower, and freestanding soaking tub. The striking powder room contains a sculptural Nero Marquina marble sink and a black metal mirror with integrated lighting. A utility closet that conceals a washer and dryer completes this remarkable offering.

108 Leonard offers multiple attended lobbies, a discreet, covered motor reception with private on-site valet parking and over 20,000 square feet of wellness-driven amenities built for entertaining, repose and revitalization. Award-winning hospitality design firm Jeffrey Beers International has scrupulously restored renowned architect McKim Mead & White's Italian Renaissance Revival landmark; masterfully imbuing a distinctly contemporary yet timeless point of view within Tribeca's most iconic century-old building.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
