Property Description for 225 Fifth Ave, 2-A

OWNER WILL ALLOW INCOMING TENANT TO PRIVATIZE THE SECOND BEDROOM BY ADDING A WALL AND DOOR. Welcome home to Residence 2A, a 1,613-square-foot 2-bedroom 2-bathroom loft just steps away from Madison Square Park. The home features soaring 11-foot ceilings, oversized picture windows, and a 60-square-foot walk-in storage room directly across the hall, all within a full-service condominium. Enter the apartment through the gallery and you are immediately met with the scale of the space. Situated on the second floor, the home features the highest ceilings of any A-line in the building. The great room spans over 35 feet, allowing ample space for a separate living and dining area. Three massive windows illuminate the room and further contribute to the loft feel. The open Poggenpohl kitchen features Pennsylvania bluestone countertops, extensive storage, and fully integrated appliances by Viking, Wolf, Bosch, and Sub-Zero. A large integrated island creates separation without completely dividing the room, creating an ideal environment for entertaining. The 16’7” x 13’2” primary bedroom comfortably accommodates a king-sized bed, with three additional oversized windows and two large closets. The marble-clad ensuite bathroom features a double vanity, a soaking tub, and a separate glass-enclosed shower, offering a spa-like experience. A second interior bedroom spans 12’9” x 12’7” and also easily allows for a king-sized bed or a generous home office setup. This is accompanied by another full bathroom, outfitted with the same beautiful white marble and a shower/soaking tub. Other defining features of the home include wide-plank hardwood floors throughout, an in-unit washer/dryer, and central air conditioning. This gorgeous prewar conversion is complimented by a white glove hotel-like amenity package, including a full-time doorman, concierge, maid service, onsite dry cleaner, live-in super, and a newly renovated fitness center. The Grand Madison is ideally located directly on the park, with immediate access to prime shopping and dining in Chelsea and Flatiron, and just steps from several subway lines. NoMad | Manhattan

Quick Profile

NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, is a rectangular swath of land that is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue to the west, and depending who you ask, Madison or Lexington Avenue to the East. It’s had its acronymed name for over two decades but not every New Yorker calls the neighborhood NoMad.

Historic architecture, trendy hotels and restaurants and high-priced apartments - NoMad wasn’t always the coveted neighborhood that it is today. It’s gone through many transformations over the years. Including a red light district known as the Tenderloin in the 1880’s. It was a popular shopping destination and a place where high society held court in the mid 19th century. It was part of New York City’s Silicon Alley in the 1990’s.

As of lately, world class chefs and restaurants have moved into NoMad. It’s tied with Midtown Manhattan for having the most Michelin stars (six stars to date). Besides NoMad’s architecture, nightlife, and restaurants, we can’t forget the added perk of being close to other great neighborhoods and cultural institutions. NoMad’s central location makes it easier to get just about anywhere in the city. You can walk to Chelsea, West Village, Union Square or Grand Central Station in no time at all. The N, R, 1, 6, B, Q, F, and M are very close or just a few blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.
