Property Description for 503 Atlantic Ave, 4-R

Just renovated! This quiet, rear facing one-bedroom has a brand new kitchen and bathroom, refinished natural wood floors, and a full-size LG washer and dryer. Its efficient layout is so spacious that it not only offers a large dining area but also has the ability to accommodate a home office without compromising your living area. Sorry, no pets. The living room has four oversized windows providing a bright northern exposure and views of Brooklyn’s skyline with some greenery in the foreground. The kitchen has lots of new white cabinetry topped with a generous surface of sparking white quartz, and newly tiled floor (grey to match the subtle veins on the counters) . Included is a full package of appliances: dishwasher, refrigerator, electric stove and mounted microwave. The bathroom has been completely retiled with a new sink, toilet and medicine cabinet. Three large closets offer excellent storage: a bedroom walk-in closet, a linen closet adjacent to the bathroom and a deep coat closet next to the front door. One in-wall air-conditioner is provided in the living room with space for another in the bedroom if needed. Available for an August 1st move-in, possibly sooner. The renovation is just wrapping up with a deep cleaning scheduled on Friday, July 7th. A broker’s fee is due upon signing the lease but there are no additional costs to move into the building. Pets are not permitted. This central location is close to many wonderful independent boutiques, excellent restaurants, the Barclays Center for sports and entertainment, Whole Foods, Target and the Apple Store. Nearby green space can be found at Fort Greene Park, Prospect Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park. Hopping on public transport is a cinch from Atlantic Terminal with practically every subway line 2/3/4/5/N/R/Q/M/W plus the Long Island Railroad. The A/C/G is just a couple of blocks in the other direction.

Boerum Hill | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Boerum Hill is a tiny, quiet, primarily residential neighborhood in Brooklyn. There are broad tree-lined streets that are filled with elegant three and four-story brownstones and townhouses, mostly built between 1840 and 1870. There is a definite family vibe to the neighborhood, but young professionals are moving in, and with them are coming trendy bars to cater to their desire for some measure of nightlife, without having to linger in Manhattan. These new bars and restaurants are being sandwiched in amongst existing shops on both Atlantic Avenue and Smith Street, which are the main commercial areas in Boerum Hill.

Boerum Hill offers a convenient location that is still able to maintain its small-neighborhood feel. Shopkeepers value their customers and remember their regulars. It continues to do what it was designed to do, namely provide small-town living in the very shadow of the big city. Boerum Hill is an easy commute to other parts of the city, making it easy to come home every day to the peace and tranquility of Boerum Hill while commuting to a job anywhere in the city.

The neighborhood is quite walkable and you can take the time to catch up with your neighbors while visiting on their stoops. Shopping on Atlantic Avenue is stress-free with no high pressure. You can meet with friends at any of the many coffee shops and while away pleasant hours in conversation. The dining scene on Smith Street is similarly laid-back. Don’t expect that there will be quite as much to see or do as there is in Manhattan, but there are a decent number of interesting bars and restaurants providing a measure of nightlife. The trade-off is worth it, as Boerum Hill provides a quiet, peaceful place to live and raise a family.
