Property Description for 19 Murray Street, 3

Available furnished, 19 Murray Street, #3 is a floor through 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom loft plus home office / den with 11' ceilings, zoned for live/work in the heart of Tribeca. The keyed elevator opens directly into the foyer, leading into the sprawling living and dining spaces. Three large southern exposures cast light throughout. A full guest bathroom and separate laundry room flank the living space. The open-concept kitchen - featuring Bosch and Bertazzoni appliances and an island / breakfast bar - overlooks the living/dining space, perfectly situated for entertaining dining parties or movie nights on the projector. The primary bedroom features a walk-in closet with custom build outs and an en-suite bathroom with standing shower, double sinks and separate soaking tub. Both the primary and guest bedroom feature northern exposures and sit adjacent to the auxiliary home office / den space. The black wrought-iron paneled glass doors create a cozy back of house feel by providing separation from the living, dining and kitchen spaces. After the space was acquired in 1998, the loft functioned as a dance studio for 20+ years. 'The Studio' offered youth and teen dance programs and was home to the Moving Visions Dance professional company. In 2021, the space was completely renovated, redesigned and reimagined into what it is today. The design was thoughtfully executed, with original elements like the exposed brick entwined with unique characteristics like the blue tiles and Lucifer Lighting fixtures found throughout. 19 Murray enjoys the convenience and proximity to the 4/5/6, A/C/E, R/W, 2/3, and J/Z subway lines; Whole Foods, Eataly, Oculus, Brookfield Place, 1WTC, Brooklyn Bridge, and the Tribeca gallery district. Pets are subject to approval on a case-by-case basis.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
