Property Description for 52 East 4th Street, 10-FLR

Exit the elevator and enter directly into this cutting-edge full floor 2 bedroom, 2 bath Condominium in the heart of Manhattan's coveted East Village. Upon entering, one passes through an exuberant and welcoming entry foyer that flows directly into the great room. The ultra-cool living/dining room is fitted with built-in speakers and power shades, and is handsomely paired with exposed beams. Dramatic 13' ceilings coupled with floor-to-ceiling tempered glass windows make this upscale loft the epitome of luxury boutique living, with sweeping city views as far as the eye can see.

A chef's kitchen is ingeniously tucked away with open Western city views, providing breathtaking sunsets while you prepare your favorite meals. The kitchen boasts designer Corian countertops, stainless steel Bosch appliances, vented range, Subzero fridge, and cleverly designed custom white lacquer cabinets; pantry space galore perfectly completes this kitchen.

The exquisite Northeast corner primary bedroom is nestled in its own wing and features incomparable views of the Manhattan skyline, Chrysler Building, and even the East River. There is a wall of closets, and the en suite windowed bathroom features floor-to-ceiling Ciot Tile Walls, Corian floors, a double sink vanity, glass-enclosed shower with four-faucet rain shower heads, as well as Dornbracht and Grohe fixtures.

The second bedroom boasts continued unobstructed city views, electric blinds, and a row of custom closets. There is also a second designer bathroom equipped with soaking tub/shower combo, and Japanese toilet. Rift cut white oak floors, central heating and air conditioning, a Miele stackable washer and dryer, and ultra-privacy complete this incredibly sophisticated offering.

Built in 2009 and designed through the award winning collaboration of Robert Scarano and Andres Escobar, 52 East 4th Street is an ultra-private luxury boutique condominium, set back from the street, which welcomes you with a translucent glass lobby adorned in Pietra Santa stone. This exclusive building contains only 14 residences across 15 floors with amenities including a heated pool equipped with cabanas, a spa, private parking garage (wait list), video security, bike storage, a Superintendent, and part-time doorman.

Centrally located in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods of the East Village and Noho, you are moments away from some of downtown's most exquisite restaurants, the hippest clubs and entertainment venues, shopping, The Bowery and Standard Hotels and everything which makes downtown Manhattan the nexus of excitement.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
