Property Description for 30 Ocean Parkway, 3-DE

Expansive elegance awaits you, steps from Prospect Park within a gorgeous, iconic prewar building. This stunning combination unit is larger than any line within the building. Fully renovated, this three + bedroom, two full bath beauty will delight you. It provides abundant options for any buyer. Currently used as a two bedroom with a huge windowed den/bedroom and an office/artist studio, it is an amazing space. Enter to find a beautiful open windowed eat-in-kitchen - with tons of cabinetry, extensive quartz countertops, and gleaming stainless steel appliances, including a french door refrigerator and a built-in microwave. You'll love the archways that lead into the spacious dining area and into the oversized living room. The living room is sunny and a true entertaining and relaxing space. You'll dwell well here. The windowed bathroom on this side of the apartment has a marble tiled floor, a pretty white vanity with a carrera marble top, a spacious shower with Kohler fixtures, including two medicine chests. There is a lovely, oversized bedroom (easily a primary bedroom) adjacent to the living room, with two exposures, bringing in sun all day. Opposite the kitchen is a large room, or den with two windows. It's currently an open space, and is easily enclosed. Then begins virtually a new wing, with another beautifully renovated windowed full bath. This one has a soaking tub, a marble tiled floor, and Kohler fixtures, including a pedestal sink, medicine cabinet, lighting and more. You'll see the office/artist studio that has a wet bar and mission style cabinetry as additional storage. Then you'll reach another huge bedroom, with a wall of closets, that is easily another primary bedroom. Additional features include gorgeous parquet hardwood floors, 9’ ceilings, eight large closets (some double) and twelve windows that allow the sun to stream in all day. This apartment will not disappoint. From its renovations, classically done with respect to the age of the building, to the beautiful archways that grace its space, this is truly a home to love. Located within an iconic, pre-war art deco building, surrounded by gorgeous gardens, this building is outstanding. The spectacular lobby is dripping in prewar detail with ballroom-like, Terrazzo-floors, etched glass windows and more. This beautifully maintained elevator building offers a laundry room, storage and bike storage for an additional fee, and a live-in super. There is an on-site composting station to provide the Gardening committee with nourishment for the building’s gardens. Cats are welcome, dogs on approval. Cena, Poetica Cafe, The Adirondak, Le Paddock, Della, Parade Grounds and Tennis Courts, Prospect Park and the Vanderbilt Playground are just around the corner. The Fort Hamilton station stop (F, G subway lines) is an easy walk with a short commute into Manhattan.

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
