Property Description for 210 West 21st Street, 1-FE

Welcome to Apartment 1FE, located on the tranquil and picturesque West 21st Street, nestled in the heart of Chelsea. This meticulously renovated unit is a two-bed, one-bath. Upon entering, you are greeted by a generously proportioned living area that seamlessly integrates with an open kitchen and dining space, evoking an ambiance of uninterrupted flow. The residence radiates pre-war elegance, featuring an ornate fireplace (non-working) and original crown moldings, complemented by the enduring beauty of heart pine wood floors installed throughout. Its lofty ten-foot ceilings are adorned with expansive windows that invite an abundance of natural light into the living quarters. The fully renovated entertainer’s kitchen showcases quartzite countertops and a subway tile backsplash, paired with top-tier Miele, ILVE, and LG appliances. It has copious counter space and ceiling-reaching cabinetry. The dining area is large enough to comfortably accommodate an eight-person table—an ideal setting for hosting gatherings. Moving down the hall, a distinct separation from the living area brings us to the bedrooms. The primary bedroom can accommodate a king-size bed and offers the convenience of two spacious built-in California closets. Meanwhile, the second bedroom is a versatile gem, furnished with a built-in desk and a clever Murphy bed by Resource Furniture, transforming effortlessly from a comfortable office space to a cozy bedroom as needed. The fully renovated bathroom is both practical and stylish. Before you even step inside, discreetly crafted built-in drawers and a sizable linen cabinet stand ready to provide ample storage for your belongings. Furthermore, the apartment is equipped with individual split AC systems in each room and incorporates soundproofing elements throughout select areas, ensuring a serene and peaceful living environment. Centrally located, you are a short walk away from Trader Joe’s, Chelsea Market, Whole Foods, the 1/2/3/E/C/F/M, Chelsea Green park, The High Line, and Hudson River Park. 210 West 21st Street is a well-maintained, boutique Chelsea co-op. The building features storage lockers, a bike room, live-in super, an updated laundry room, and a new elevator. There is a furnished roof deck with amazing views of Hudson Yards and the Empire State Building, however, it is currently not open as it’s being upgraded (plans before the Department of Buildings). The building also has a common backyard with BBQ. Pet friendly, the building is wired for FIOS and Local Law 11 was just completed in 2022. Parents buying for a child, co-purchases and guarantors all permitted with board approval. Pied a terres are not permitted.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
