Property Description for 202 Seeley Street, 5-D

Located in an elevator building on coveted Seeley Street, this beautiful and bright corner unit rests on the 5th floor with multiple exposures, abundant sunlight, and unobstructed tree-top views overlooking Prospect Park. This airy, well-proportioned, and peaceful oasis features a flexible layout, a large entry foyer, dining area, high ceilings, archways, moldings, and hardwood floors. This home retains its pre-war charm while blending seamlessly with a fresh, modern renovation. The sun-filled and oversize corner bedroom can comfortably fit a king-size bed and ample furniture. The renovated windowed bathroom is tasteful, crisp, and clean. Significant care was also given to the renovated windowed kitchen, which incorporates honed Via Lattea granite countertops, custom cabinets, a Bosch dishwasher and range, a Fisher & Paykel French-door refrigerator, and ample storage. This cat-friendly building has a beautifully landscaped front yard, a renovated and well-maintained laundry room with a lending library for residents, a parking garage (waitlisted), secure storage, and bicycle storage in the basement. In the summertime, residents are encouraged to use the rear of the building for planting/gardening. An onsite superintendent works in conjunction with a staffing company to maintain the building, and a management company oversees everything. Considerable improvements have been made in recent months, including repointing and replacing lintels throughout the building. Within mere steps of Prospect Park (close to the lake and Duck Island), Vanderbilt playground, Elk Cafe, a 2-minute walk to the B68 and a 6-minute walk to the F/G trains, near an array of Windsor Terrace/Park Slope's best restaurants, boutiques, shops and services, Windsor Farms, Walgreens, Bartel-Prichard Square's Greenmarket, Nitehawk Cinema and the upcoming Ample Hills Creamery, the location couldn't be better. This is a truly amazing place to call home!

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
