Property Description for 202 Seeley Street, 5-F

Steps to bucolic Prospect Park, this sprawling 2BR is situated on a high floor in a well-maintained elevator building on coveted Seeley Street. Well-proportioned and welcoming, this sun-filled, airy home retains its pre-war charm while blending seamlessly with fresh updates. Enhanced by newly refinished hardwood floors, the considered layout offers a comfortable flow. The entry foyer comfortably accommodates a home office. The large, bright living room and dining area are situated next to the windowed galley eat-in kitchen, which boasts brand-new stainless-steel appliances. Windows in every room overlook lush, treetop views of gardens and open sky. The primary bedroom fits a king-size bed and ample furniture and boasts corner windows offering a lovely cross-breeze. The second bedroom is similarly open and accommodating. The renovated windowed bathroom has a rain shower. There are ample closets throughout, including a coat closet, linen closet, his and hers closets in the primary bedroom, and another in the second bedroom. Situated in a cat-friendly building with a landscaped front yard, renovated and well-maintained laundry room with stainless steel machines on a card system, a residents' lending library, waitlisted parking garage, secure storage, and basement bicycle storage. Residents are encouraged to join the gardening committee to develop the green spaces on the side and rear of the building. An onsite superintendent works in conjunction with porters to maintain the common areas, and a management company oversees operations. Considerable improvements have been made in recent months, including a ButterflyMX video intercom system which connects to a smartphone app, repainting of the common areas throughout the building, new hallway carpeting, and buffing of the lobby terrazzo floors. Within mere steps of Prospect Park—close to the lake, Duck Island and Vanderbilt playground—a 2-minute walk to the B68 and 6-minute walk to the F/G trains. An idyllic location near an array of Windsor Terrace/Park Slope's best restaurants, boutiques, shops and services including Le Paddock, Krupa Grocery, Double Windsor, Poetica Cafe, Windsor Farms, Bartel-Pritchard Square Greenmarket, Nitehawk Cinema, and more. Your stunning park-side oasis awaits!

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
