Property Description for 410 West 24th Street, 5-A

Upon entering Apartment 5A at the 410 West 24th Street building in London Terrace Towers you'll immediately notice that it's the largest regular studio floor plan offered. On your way through the gracious foyer, to the left you'll encounter the Home Office, replete with storage. As you walk through the welcoming foyer, you'll find the home office on your left. Continue through to discover the fully updated bathroom, boasting a serene color scheme with tiled walls and floors. The 5-foot step-in shower with a conveniently placed seat and accent tiles provides a luxurious bathing experience.
Approaching the main living area measuring 20 by 15 +feet, the glow of western light from three windows surrounds you. The view of the Historic London Terrace Gardens, with its fountains and glorious plantings, is transformed seasonally, including a decorated Christmas Tree. Sometimes you can enjoy the residents building snowmen, but more regularly it's a serene view to observe with your morning tea or coffee.
The north wall of the living area is adorned by a custom-built cabinet, offering plenty of room for clothes as well as books and glassed in display shelving. Right alongside it is the perfect walk-in closet with room enough to add a small dresser if a secondary furniture piece for more personal items is desired. The living room cabinet was inset into the wall without taking away floor space, giving you the opportunity to live without a dresser taking up an entire wall. This creates a more Loft-like living style, with 9' +/- ceilings, and a half wall of windows, all enhancing the prewar details of beamed ceilings and divided light casement windows.
That being said, the windowed kitchen design and materials shows a more modern look and feel. Charcoal Ceasarstone, my favorite countertop surface, has been honed and sealed, giving you an impervious, stain-free surface upon which to prepare and create. The stainless steel dishwasher, refrigerator, and stove give it a seamless feeling and the tiled backsplash integrates perfectly. Custom cabinetry surrounds the walls and along the base, offering plenty of storage, so life will be easy and oh, so comfortable.
With 24/7 Doormen and Porters and live-in Super you'll find the staff to be attentive and available and subletting is allowed after just one year of residence. London Terrace Towers is known for it's Historic, half-Olympic pool and, oh, if those hand-crafted tile walls could talk...Flanked by private men's and women's locker rooms, each with a Steam Room, Sauna, and Showers, one could spend half a day here. Our 3000' fitness Center offers a wide array of aerobic and strength-training equipment, free weights, and free classes for a nominal monthly fee and you'll find an attended garage in the building.<>//<>So, book your private tour of 410 West 24th St #5A and the amenities with The Queen of London Terrace. Living area is virtually staged.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
