Property Description for 344 West 23rd Street, 2-C

Reimagined Luxury in the Heart of Chelsea. Recently renovated and generously sized, this two-bed, two-bath condo at The Cheyney is your dream home in the making. No detail has been left untouched, from the two new spa-quality bathrooms, to upgraded Somfy motorized blinds and engineered pine wood floors throughout the home. Enter to an open-concept common area ideal for both entertaining and day-to-day relaxation. Living and dining spaces blend seamlessly with the kitchen, yet the layout maintains a private separation of space with two large bedrooms down the hall enjoying southern exposures.

The renovated chef's kitchen combines contemporary finishes with the ease and dependability of commercial-grade fixtures. Enjoy a stunning new waterfall-edge stone countertop and backsplash, stainless steel cabinetry, and high-end appliances including a new SubZero fridge and Bertazzoni gas range and oven. Never miss a beat as you catch up with guests at the built-in breakfast bar open to the dining area, while natural light pours in through the large living room windows.

The home's private quarters are equally impressive. In addition to in-unit laundry with upgraded Miele washer and dryer appliances, each bathroom has been decadently renovated with heated tile floors, frameless glass showers, and quality Hansgrohe fixtures. The impressive primary bedroom comes complete with a full en-suite bath, two spacious closets, and a wall of windows and sliding doors to a private primary-suite balcony. The secondary bedroom is also good sized and naturally bright, with two closets of its own and easy access to the full hall bath.

Located in The Cheyney, a pet-friendly, boutique condominium with 44 units, is conveniently location in the heart of Chelsea. Residents enjoy a furnished roof deck, live-in superintendent, and a doorman on weekdays 8AM-12AM and weekends 8AM-2AM. You are surrounded by many neighborhood mom and pop shops close by this popular Chelsea location, only one block from A, C, and E trains, and a short jaunt to the Highline, Chelsea Arts District and Chelsea Piers, Whole Foods, and Trader Joes.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
