Property Description for 520 LaGuardia Place, PH-7N

Situated in the heart of Greenwich Village, this 7th-floor loft penthouse at 520 LaGuardia Place is the pinnacle of modern-meets-industrial luxury. With 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and elevator access, every detail exudes refinement.

Greeted by sunlight through three expansive windows, the main living area showcases original beams, brickwork, and high 10.5' ceilings. Modern Lutron lighting complements these historic touches. The spacious living room, ideal for gatherings, boasts ample storage with a wall of closets.

The Italian-imported Veneta Cuccina kitchen is a chef's dream. Highlights include a sprawling center island, quartz counters, a SubZero fridge, a Fisher and Paykel dual-drawer dishwasher, and a Thermador professional series cooktop.

The primary bedroom easily fits a king bed and features an impressive walk-in closet. Its en-suite bathroom is spa-inspired with dual vanities, a Japanese Toto toilet, radiant heated floors, and a combined rain shower and jetted tub. The second bathroom matches in luxury, with its own Toto toilet, soaking tub, and a washer/dryer.

Beyond the main spaces, there are two more sizeable bedrooms and an office/nursery. All rooms savor serene green views. The unit's floors are laid with noise-damping Canadian hardwood for a modern, quiet feel.

As part of a boutique elevator coop of 14 units (2 per floor), 520 LaGuardia Place is superbly maintained. Managed by Andrews, its location is second to none-adjacent to Washington Square Village Key Park and a stone's throw from Washington Square Park.

Please note that this unit is also available for sale.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
