Property Description for 130 Bay Ridge Parkway, 4-F

Welcome to apartment 4F at 130 Bay Ridge Parkway. This bright and sunny one bedroom co op apartment is located on the 4th floor in a pre war elevator building. The apartment is modern, but warm and cozy, and was newly renovated about 4 years ago with cherry wood flooring throughout. Upon entering the apartment, there is a coat closet for hanging and storage. The updated eat in kitchen has white laminate cabinets—quartz countertops with iridescent backsplash tiles and stainless steel appliances. The living room is open and bright, with recessed lighting framing the 9 foot ceiling, providing a great space for relaxing or entertaining. The living room window opens onto the garden and trees from the property next door. The bedroom is big enough for a queen size bed and there is a large white laminate closet for clothing and storage. There are waterviews out the bedroom and hallway windows. The windowed bathroom has been beautifully renovated with hexagon shaped tile flooring and white subway tiles on the walls. The building has a live in super, laundry room, security cameras in the lobby, as well as storage for your personal items and bicycle storage. The building is centrally located—only 2 1/2 blocks to Shore Road and the Promenade, as well as express bus service into the city. You are not too far from Owl’s Head Park and the 69th Street Pier with Ferry service to Manhattan. You are only 1 1/2 blocks to 3rd Avenue, where you will find a supermarket—plenty of shops and restaurants. The building does allow cats but no dogs—and there is endless subletting after you have lived in the apartment for 3 years. The maintenance is $963 a month, which includes your heat and hot water—property taxes and upkeep of the common areas of the building.

Bay Ridge | Brooklyn

Lush front yards and trimmed hedges are pretty common in Bay Ridge.

Quick Profile

Bay Ridge is an old-world neighborhood neatly tucked into the southwest corner of Brooklyn within the shadows of the Verrazano Bridge. The neighborhood is encircled by the Belt Parkway along the shore line and the Gowanus Expressway inland.

Bay Ridge, long known for its generational pull, has historically been home to a diverse number of ethnic groups. While the area is flush with people of Irish, Italian and Greek descent, these ethnic communities have been joined by larger numbers of new groups, including people with Russian, Polish, Asian and Middle Eastern backgrounds. The Arab American community today in Bay Ridge represents the largest concentration of Arab Americans in New York City.

For many years, Bay Ridge and its waterside location, would attract the affluent. But most of the mansions that once lined Shore Road are long gone and have been replaced by six-story apartment buildings.

Aside from the low-rise apartment buildings, the neighborhood pretty much consists of one and two-family homes. Lush front yards and trimmed hedges are pretty common here.

Current zoning and limitations on building heights restrict any out of the norm development. At present, the future beholds small development on some of the commercial strips and teardowns of older homes for smaller residential projects.
