Property Description for 180 Duane Street, 3

Large fully-renovated classic Tribeca loft on the neighborhood's most prime Duane Park block.

The loft is 24-feet wide, with high ceilings and three huge window banks for its living room and open chef's kitchen. South- and rear-facing with treetop views, the loft has the best of both worlds with great light and pin-drop quietness.

The open chef's kitchen has new granite countertops, abundant cabinetry, a huge island that can fit multiple stools, and new top-line appliances. It is great for cooking and entertaining. A separate dining and sitting area are adjacent to the living room.

The primary bedroom area is interior and has its own large en-suite bathroom, which includes a washer/dryer concealed in a closet. The secondary bedroom area is a convertible interior room, whose entryway can be left open as is or enclosed by the owner. It has a wall of smart built-ins.

The loft has a second full bathroom off of the foyer and gallery, which can serve both the second bedroom and guests. Both bathrooms have tubs.

180 Duane Street is a quintessential, 19th Century walk-up loft building in the Tribeca West Historic District, on the neighborhood's most beloved block with Duane Park. 180 Duane Street is a rental building with an immediate approval process.

The building is surrounded by all of Tribeca's world-famous shopping, dining, and cultural amenities. In addition to being on the same block as Duane Park, it is only two blocks from Washington Market Park and Hudson River Park. The building is proximate to the Chambers Street 1/2/3 and A/C/E subway stations.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
