Property Description for 11 East 29th Street, 50-C

Feel like you could almost touch the clouds as you live 50 stories above the bustle of city life. At nearly 1,000 square feet, Residence 50C at the prestigious Sky House Condominiums lays out before you a novel perspective of the New York City skyline. Its impossible not to be drawn to the spectacular 225-degree view of Manhattan, the East River, the Hudson River, and beyond. While the Empire State Building stands tall, front and center, its only one of many iconic Manhattan landmarks that can be seen while appreciating the vast cityscape.

However, the dramatic views are not the only aspect that will draw your heart to call this your own. Look inwards, where this oversized one-bedroom with one-and-a-half bathrooms, measuring at just under 1,000 sq ft and with pristine, brand-new oak floors, provides a thoughtful layout designed with privacy in mind.

Upon entering the apartment, youll find the powder room to your right, complete with black and white marble floors, stone countertops, and a handy picture-frame window. The entryway also contains a convenient coat closet and hallway leading to the sweeping panoramic views and the open-concept living space.

This 213 x 158 Great Room has two magnificent exposures looking towards the North and East, and its generous size allows you to choose a layout that expresses your personal style.

The private bedroom suite is separated from the main living area by a sliding door and hallway that lead to a king-size bedroom complete with full-size bathroom and a truly walk-in closet. The ensuite bathroom comes complete with soaking tub, linen closetand your own Bosch washer/dryer.

Custom shelving is featured in the walk-in closet that has more than 40 sq ft of space; the sizable corner bedroom has space for all you need and provides another opportunity to take in an expansive northern exposure as well as views far into the west.

With no other apartment above you, no street sounds reaching this far up and only three units per floor, this home is a rarity and has an inherently tranquil environment.

A highlight of this amenity-rich development is its fitness center with floor-to-ceiling windows, located on the 6th floor with a courtyard view of the landmarked Church of the Transfiguration next door. The park-inspired playroom and resident storage can also be found on this floor. Additional amenities include a full-time doorman, concierge, cold storage, bike storage, and a live-in resident super.

Sky House is in the NoMad neighborhood with convenient public transportation to all areas of New York City. Even so, one wont need to go far for wonderful restaurants, museums, and shops including a premier Whole Foods right around the corner. Just 3 blocks away, Madison Square Park is over six acres of public green space and home to Jemmys Dog Run, a childrens playground, an open-air museum, a performance venue, an arboretum, the original Shake Shack, and across the street from Eataly. The artworks on the grounds are an exciting blend of temporary exhibits by new artists and classic monuments that testify to Madison Square Parks 150-year history.

A few blocks further, Union Square features its thrice weekly green market and a vibrant established restaurant scene. Other nearby neighborhoods include Gramercy, Chelsea, and the Flatiron district putting this gorgeous Sky High apartment on a level far above the rest.

NoMad | Manhattan

Quick Profile

NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, is a rectangular swath of land that is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue to the west, and depending who you ask, Madison or Lexington Avenue to the East. It’s had its acronymed name for over two decades but not every New Yorker calls the neighborhood NoMad.

Historic architecture, trendy hotels and restaurants and high-priced apartments - NoMad wasn’t always the coveted neighborhood that it is today. It’s gone through many transformations over the years. Including a red light district known as the Tenderloin in the 1880’s. It was a popular shopping destination and a place where high society held court in the mid 19th century. It was part of New York City’s Silicon Alley in the 1990’s.

As of lately, world class chefs and restaurants have moved into NoMad. It’s tied with Midtown Manhattan for having the most Michelin stars (six stars to date). Besides NoMad’s architecture, nightlife, and restaurants, we can’t forget the added perk of being close to other great neighborhoods and cultural institutions. NoMad’s central location makes it easier to get just about anywhere in the city. You can walk to Chelsea, West Village, Union Square or Grand Central Station in no time at all. The N, R, 1, 6, B, Q, F, and M are very close or just a few blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.
