Property Description for 434 Prospect Place, 3

Located on the top floor of a boutique, three-story townhouse condominium, this sprawling three-bedroom, two-bath floor-through apartment offers an abundance of living space plus an additional 600+ square feet of outdoor space with A PRIVATE ROOF DECK AND BALCONY.

As you step inside, you're welcomed by a delightful open-plan chef's kitchen featuring a Bertazzoni vented gas range, Viking refrigerator, a separate wine fridge, and a Bosch dishwasher. Custom cabinetry and Caesarstone countertops provide fantastic storage and work space. This kitchen transitions seamlessly into the spacious living area. Lovely light streams in through large bay windows which overlook the treetops of Prospect Place. An original marble mantle surrounds the working WOODBURNING FIREPLACE and is framed by exposed brick walls. The versatile layout offers a bedroom adjacent to the living room that could also be used as a home office or easily opened up, creating additional living space.

Nestled quietly down the hall are two peaceful south-facing bedrooms. The serene primary bedroom showcases a modern en-suite bath featuring a deep soaking tub, marble tile, and a custom vanity. Gorgeous light streams through the oversized sliding glass doors that lead to the large private balcony. Both bedrooms are well-proportioned and have large closets complete with custom closet systems. The windowed main bath has modern finishes and fixtures, including a walk-in shower.

Best of all, one flight up, the entire front half of the roof is for the exclusive use of apartment #3. With beautiful views, this expansive space provides plenty of room for lounging, dining, and gardening. It's easy to imagine spending your summer nights here.

Other features of the apartment include a stacked vented washer/dryer, ductless mini-split ACs, high ceilings, bamboo floors, a large deeded private storage room, stroller parking and incredibly low monthlies including a tax abatement until 2034!

Nestled on a tree-lined block at the crossroads of Prospect Heights & Crown Heights; minutes from the amazing shops and eateries on Washington and Vanderbilt Avenues, and with easy access to the Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, Botanical Gardens and 2, 3, 4, 5, B, Q, and C subway lines, the location is fantastic.. Pet friendly too!

Crown Heights | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Originally known as Crown Hill by the Lenape Indians that lived there, Crown Heights has evolved into a diverse neighborhood, occupied primarily by Hasidic Jews and one of the largest Caribbean populations to be found anywhere outside of the West Indies.

Head over to Nostrand Avenue, one of the main West Indian commercial areas in the neighborhood, which is lined with stores that have been in those exact same places for generations, providing their goods and services to area residents. Kingston Avenue has similar commercial activities that support the Jewish community, and Franklin Avenue shows the most signs of change and gentrification, with an ever-expanding mix of yoga studios, coffee shops, and organic grocery stores that serve the influx of young professionals. No matter which of these areas you visit, you will find an interesting mix of businesses that you wouldn’t normally picture as existing side-by-side. It is all part of the cultural diversity of Crown Heights.

The neighborhood is bisected, from east to west, by Eastern Parkway, which is a beautiful, 3-mile-long boulevard lined with mature trees. This leafy oasis was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famed designer of Central Park, the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, and the U. S. Capitol in Washington, D. C.

You will find a mix of low-rise apartment buildings, large middle-class elevator buildings, brownstones, and some luxury buildings. Century-old architecture stands next to modern residential developments in a visually interesting mix of styles, much as the diversity of the residents exists. People who would not normally meet and mix are forging new pathways to cultural understanding by working, living, and playing together in the same neighborhood.
