Property Description for 212 Fifth Ave, 9-B

9B IS BEING OFFERED FULLY FURNISHED. 212 Fifth Ave is an iconic, neo-Gothic early sky-scraper recently converted to 48 exceptional condominium residences. Originally constructed as a manufacturing building, the architects designed the structure with open floor plates, high ceilings and oversized windows which has in turn created a foundation for dramatic, light flooded residential floor plans with the best of pre-war and contemporary design fused into one. Most units have multiple exposures and grand layouts. For the first time since the building opened, 9B is being offered as a fully furnished, turnkey rental. Defining features of 9B include interiors curated by KA Design Group, a gracious entry foyer and galleried hallways, a huge loft like living room, a fully integrated custom kitchen with ash mill-work, marble counters and top-of-the line Gaggenau appliances, and bathroom finishes that include honed, polished and fluted marble and hand-dyed sycamore cabinetry. With only two or three homes per floor, the building is intimate and boutique in size but has all the luxury amenity offerings associated with larger developments. Situated on the Northwest corner of Madison Square Park, the location allows easy access to both uptown and downtown while benefiting from being in one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Additional features of this one of a kind property include smart home technology and security, a decorative fireplace, fully built out closets throughout, custom window treatments in every room and a private storage unit included in the rent. Building amenities include: Lobby with 24 hour doorman, concierge and cold storage. Fitness center by The Wright Fit, with adjoining yoga studio and treatment room. Playroom and separate game room, both with age appropriate equipment. Residents lounge, adjoining dining/meeting room with catering kitchen, and screening room.

NoMad | Manhattan

Quick Profile

NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, is a rectangular swath of land that is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue to the west, and depending who you ask, Madison or Lexington Avenue to the East. It’s had its acronymed name for over two decades but not every New Yorker calls the neighborhood NoMad.

Historic architecture, trendy hotels and restaurants and high-priced apartments - NoMad wasn’t always the coveted neighborhood that it is today. It’s gone through many transformations over the years. Including a red light district known as the Tenderloin in the 1880’s. It was a popular shopping destination and a place where high society held court in the mid 19th century. It was part of New York City’s Silicon Alley in the 1990’s.

As of lately, world class chefs and restaurants have moved into NoMad. It’s tied with Midtown Manhattan for having the most Michelin stars (six stars to date). Besides NoMad’s architecture, nightlife, and restaurants, we can’t forget the added perk of being close to other great neighborhoods and cultural institutions. NoMad’s central location makes it easier to get just about anywhere in the city. You can walk to Chelsea, West Village, Union Square or Grand Central Station in no time at all. The N, R, 1, 6, B, Q, F, and M are very close or just a few blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.
