Property Description for 248 Palmetto Street, 3

Welcome to 248 Palmetto Street - Bushwick's newest and tastefully curated boutique condominium.

Each residence at 248 Palmetto Street offers polished and refined intent as well as a contemporary approach to new-fashioned living. All three residences boast Northern and Southern exposures as well as thoughtfully spacious layouts - most of which include private outdoor space.

Residence #3 is a floor-through two-bedroom, two-bathroom featuring favorably sized, north-facing bay windows overlooking a tree-lined street. The considerably spacious living area, further accentuated by 10' ceilings, provides the luxury of accommodating an array of interior concepts. In the Northwest corner of the living room, you will find a charmingly bright nook to be utilized as the perfect space to work from home.

The custom, meticulously curated kitchen was designed with the modern household in mind. A beautifully veined stone lays effortlessly across the kitchen counters while the back-splash provides character and personality. All the stonework was tastefully chosen to highlight the honey-toned wooden cabinetry which accents the space while providing warmth and depth. The kitchen includes a top-of-the-line Bertazzoni appliance package including a 30" gas stove, double-door refrigerator with a bottom freezer, 24" dishwasher, and an above range microwave.

Passing through the kitchen you'll find the first of two full bathrooms outfitted with stunning vertical emerald wall tile paired perfectly with a large-format, white and grey veined heated floor tile. A contemporary wooden vanity adds warmth and ties together an array of gold fixtures and hardware. The shower includes a hand-shower and slide-bar as well as a deep soaking tub.

Advancing past the first bathroom are two well-proportioned bedrooms including the primary bedroom with its ensuite bathroom. The primary bedroom features two south-facing windows and a nicely-sized walk-in closet. The ensuite bathroom draws immediate attention to the floors which are cut from a gorgeous slab of Calcutta Viola marble beautifully veined with elegant shades of violet. The walls are lined with an off-white vertical tile, providing a neutral base to ensure that the floors remain the star of the show. The bathroom is outfitted with brushed nickel fixtures and hardware to tie together the flecks of grey in the Calcutta Viola that extends from the floors into the standing shower.

Residence #3 also boasts a 300 sq panoramic private terrace that features views as far as the eye can see. Attractive planters bring a touch of verdancy to the space as well as privacy. This area is roomy enough for a multitude of configurations and is the perfect spot to unwind or entertain.

248 Palmetto Street rests quietly in the center of the most residential part of Bushwick, home to many neighborhood favorites including L'imprimerie, Abe's Pagoda, Meza Azteca, Ltauha, Carmentas,

and many more. Nearest access to public transportation includes the M at Knickerbocker Avenue, as well as the LM at Myrtle Wycoff and J at Gates Avenue

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
