Property Description for 1259 Bushwick Ave, 2

Ready to be impressed? Located in the heart of Bushwick, the whole house that the apartment is in was just thoroughly and tastefully renovated. The sun-filled living room of this 2nd floor 3-bedroom apartment is of generous size, with signature bow windows, characteristic of the turn of the 20th century architectural design, and with an intriguing fragment of exposed brick. The open kitchen boasts a peninsula set up as breakfast / bar area, with a built-in sink and with quartz countertops. The kitchen comes with all stainless-steel appliances including a dishwasher, and ample cabinetry. Inset cabinet doors are a rare, desirable feature, making the kitchen design complete. The primary, King-size bedroom features its own en-suite bathroom with a shower and a double-closet. The Queen-sized 2nd bedroom has a spacious closet as well. All bedrooms receive plenty of natural light. The 3rd bedroon is front facing, located just off the living room. Save yourself a trip to the laundromat and utilize a brand-new washer / dryer combo. The tiled master bathroom is neutral-looking and pleasing to the eye. There are hardwood floors and high ceilings throughout the apartment. There is a SEPARATE split unit A/C system in the living room, and in each one of the bedrooms - both for your comfort and for energy savings. If attention to detail is important to you in a space - you came to the right one, but it won't be available forever.

This excellent rental is conveniently located by the corner with Halsey St. - just a block from Broadway and less than 2 blocks from the Halsey St station of the J train. Live only 8 train stops to Downtown Manhattan, and just a few stops to Williamsburg. You will appreciate both the historic feel of the neighborhood, and the many local establishments such as Cuts and Slices, Salud Bar and Grill, and many others. Saratoga Park is just 2 blocks away. Don't delay, and book your showing today.

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
