Property Description for 400 East 52nd Street, 11-C

Back on the Market - With a Fresh New Look

Apartment 11C is a gracious one-bedroom, one-bath home in a full-service
pre-war cooperative designed by Emery Roth. Set on a quiet cul-de-sac between
Sutton Place and Beekman Place, this spacious apartment has just been refreshed
with crisp white walls and professional staging by Paulo Medina Studio.

The thoughtful layout includes a welcoming foyer, a spacious living and dining area, a beautifully
appointed kitchen, and a king-size bedroom. The modern kitchen features sleek
European appliances by Bertazzoni and Smeg, seamlessly integrated to maximize
both space and style.

Additional highlights include hardwood floors, through-the-wall air conditioning, and
generous closet space. A dedicated storage cage in the basement transfers with the apartment,
and washer/dryers are permitted with board approval.

Southgate offers full-service living with a 24-hour doorman, on-site resident manager,
landscaped garden, laundry room, bike storage, basement storage, and convenient
access to nearby parking garages. The cooperative is pet-friendly and will consider
pieds-à-terre, co-purchasing, and guarantors. Financing permitted up to 80%.
Monthly maintenance includes all utilities. There is an assessment of $312, billed
monthly through July 2027.

Beekman Place | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Beekman Place is less of a neighborhood than it is a quiet two-block enclave just north of the United Nations on the far eastern edge of Turtle Bay. There is only one street that runs through the neighborhood, also called Beekman Place, that wraps itself around 49th Street and 51st Street.

This bucolic little stretch of the east side has always been a cherished spot for those fortunate enough to have found refuge here. The noise and the street traffic from the city surrounds is virtually non-existent as there are no through streets in this neighborhood.

The neighborhood composition largely consists of a few clusters of townhouses and prewar co-ops. The exception to the rule is the charming art-deco-styled Beekman Place Hotel at the corner of First Avenue and 49th Street and the two post-war towers, 860 and 870 UN Plaza that front the grounds of the United Nations.
