Property Description for 88 Lexington Ave, 2-A

At the convergence of Clinton Hill and Bedford-Stuyvesant, this bright & airy one-bedroom condo combines style and function for a beautiful, livable space. Masterfully crafted by the highly regarded architecture and design firm StudiosC, no detail has been overlooked. As you step inside, you'll notice the 6” natural white oak wood floors and the massive tilt & turn windows that bring in natural light. In the living area, the windows open out onto a generously-sized balcony, spacious enough for a table and chairs, or a relaxing outdoor conversation corner. The meticulously designed kitchen features top-of-the-line appliances from Bertazzoni, Fisher & Paykel, and Bosch. Statuario Nuvo Caesarstone countertops, backsplash, and shelving in a honed finish are complemented by custom hard brown maple and white lacquer cabinetry. A Bertazzoni gas range and vented range hood, along with a farmhouse sink and pullout pantry, make meal creation a breeze. The bathroom is designed for function and comfort, with twin sinks and mirrored medicine cabinets. Enjoy the luxury of a soaking tub and underfloor heating. Fixtures and accessories by Jason Wu for Brizo in a matte black finish add a stylish modern touch. Across the hall is a laundry closet with a Bosch stackable washer/dryer. The spacious bedroom easily accommodates a queen-or king-sized bed, with room for a work area with a custom fold-up desk. Shade Store Ripple blackout drapes ensure a restful sleep. There’s a walk-in closet with a modular organizing system, too! Other features include central AC, entry closet, Shade store motorized light-filtering roller shades, recessed lighting, and Nest smoke and CO2 detectors. The building is equipped with a ButterflyMX smartphone video intercom for secure and convenient guest access, dedicated storage room for each unit (free) and a package delivery room. Located on the cusp of Clinton Hill and Bedford-Stuyvesant, this 8-unit boutique condo is in the heart of a vibrant community, with excellent restaurants--Speedy Romeo, Commune, For All Good Things, & Clementines, to name a few--as well as art galleries & shops. Proximity to the A, C, and G trains means easy access to the rest of Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens.

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
