Property Description for 216 Pulaski Street, 1-L

Residence 1L at 216 Pulaski Street is a shining example of the ever-elusive mint condition garden duplex with multiple private outdoor spaces, including an enormous rear garden. The sprawling, flexible space can be used in a vast variety of ways, including as a two-bedroom with an office nook or a massive one bedroom with a lower level recreation room. Enter this special space to be greeted by staggeringly high ceilings, gorgeous wide-plank white oak floors and an immense amount of natural light flowing in from the corner unit's oversized, dual pane windows. Immediately upon entering the home's generously-sized living & dining room, you'll find a perfectly symmetrical space, offering a multitude of layout options and plenty of room for both dedicated living and dining areas. Opposite the windows and the staircase descending to the duplex's lower level lies the sleek, modern kitchen. Framed by eye-catching off-white exposed brick, the chef's kitchen features sparkling stainless steel, integrated appliances and excellent cabinet and counter space. Just down the hall in the rear of the residence, you'll find the absolutely massive primary suite. Featuring a walk-in-closet and a truly swoon-worthy en suite bathroom with a gorgeous two-person tiled shower and a window out to your private backyard, you may have difficulty leaving every day! The backyard, meanwhile, is accessed by sliding glass doors and provides a true sanctuary in the heart of Brooklyn. The yard is fully fenced in and is large enough for multiple seating and dining areas along with ample space to flex your green thumb. Heading downstairs, options abound. The lower level of residence 1L is currently set up as both a bedroom and an office (note that this property is a legal one bedroom with a recreation room/cellar), but it can be used in whatever way suits you best. In addition to the main open space downstairs, there is a stunning half-bathroom, an absolutely gargantuan walk-in-closet and yet ANOTHER private outdoor space parallel to the main room. You really can have it all, apparently! Among many other impressive, modern features, residence 1L at 216 Pulaski Street offers multi-zone central heat and AC, a washer/dryer in-unit, wide plank white oak floors on the upper level and incredible natural light all set within a fully renovated, move-in ready condo with low common charges. The building offers an intimate community of only 16 residences, a video intercom and bike storage. Located in highly sought after Bedford Stuyvesant with its impressive array of treelined streets and remarkable turn of the century Brownstones, shopping and dining options abound, Herbert Von King Park is a short walk and there is easy access to many transportation options from the G/J/M/Z trains and beyond. Don't miss this exceedingly special opportunity to acquire a perfectly-located, oversized, mint-condition duplex all for under 800K. Welcome home!

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
