Property Description for 100 Barclay Street, 11-N

Split two-bedroom home with a home office and a south-facing terrace at Ralph Walker’s 100 Barclay Street. Residence 11N is a south-facing split two-bedroom home, plus a home office, spanning almost 1,600 square feet at 100 Barclay Street, Ralph Walker’s art deco residences in TriBeCa. 11N is airy and spacious, with high ceilings and south-facing windows in each room. The 345 square foot terrace extends the width of the home and offers downtown views plus partial river views. White oak flooring, plus high-end finishes, hardware, and appliances throughout, make this a desirable turnkey residence in one of TriBeCa’s most historic luxury buildings. The home opens into the great room. The large eat-in kitchen includes fluted glass cabinetry, marble countertops, and top-of-the line appliances from Sub Zero and Miele. There is ample room for a formal dining table, in addition to a spacious living room. A custom built-in media wall adds additional shelving and storage. The terrace is directly off the living room and includes plenty of space for multiple seating areas and an outdoor dining table. It also offers one of the city’s most awe-inspiring views of the Freedom Tower. The principal bedroom suite faces south and includes a walk-in closet and a generous en-suite bathroom, complete with floor-to-ceiling marble, a soaking tub, radiant floor heating, and Waterworks fixtures. The second bedroom suite also faces south; it has two spacious closets, plus a well-appointed en-suite bathroom with Waterworks fixtures and marble herringbone flooring. Residence 11N also includes a home office, which can easily be used as a nursery or a guest room, and a powder room. There is also multi-zone climate control, and an in-unit washer/dryer. Built in 1930 by Ralph Walker, 100 Barclay Street was converted to condominiums in 2015 and offers an extensive and elevated amenity package. In addition to the 24-hour doorman, concierge, and valet parking, residents may enjoy over 40,000 square feet of amenities including: a fitness center designed by The Wright Fit; an 82-foot heated lap pool, plus a wading pool and a steam room; four common outdoor spaces; a billiards room; a club lounge with a bar and dining room; a wine tasting room; private recreation space; and bike storage. Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
