There is an outdoor space / courtyard for the building that is great for barb q’s small dinner parties etc. It has grills, tables, chairs, plants etc. Great landlord. Guarantors are allowed but not required and can be from anywhere in the United States. Walking distance from F train at Second Avenue (Use 1st Ave exit, building is at Ave B). Pets are allowed with no additional fees. Maximum pet weight is 50lbs. The area is awesome- There’s a huge running track on Houston a block over where Zog sports plays a lot of games. Two free Outside public swimming are a block away as well. There’s a Whole Foods down Houston street with a YMCA that has an Olympic sized swimming pool. SOHO, Lower East Side, NYU, Greenwich Village, Nolita, and of course all the East Village are close by. Oh MTA has a website now that tells you the exact minute when the bus will be on the corner. TRANSPORTATION (see MTA bus time) ap F SUBWAY TRAIN 3 avenues over on 1st ave and 1st. (Says 2nd ave but 24 hour entrance on 1st ave & Houston, 7 – 8 minute walk J,M,Z SUBWAY TRAIN on Essex & Delancey. 9 Minute walk M9 BUS Pick up in front of building. Takes you north to 27th & 1st or south to Financial district (South End & Albany) M21 BUS Pick up 40 feet away on Houston. Takes you west to West Village, Soho & Tribeca M14C BUS Pick up 30 feet away on C. Takes you north to 14th street then west thru Union Square hitting almost all subways and ending in Chelsea at 23rd and West side highway. The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.
