Property Description for 121 East 10th Street, 2-C

Often, the movies depict a quintessentially dreamy NYC home in an ornate pre-war building, nestled on a tree-lined street, while the inside retains oodles of pre-war charm and character. Well, this home is not a movie set, but sure could be one! This newly, gut renovated one bedroom home has all of the modern conveniences, but still feels like you are living in a piece of that highly coveted NYC history. With almost 10 foot ceilings, you enter the home and are greeted by a renovated and windowed kitchen with granite countertops, custom cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen opens up to the living room with enough space to include a dining table. The queen size, corner bedroom has oversized windows with two exposures overlooking gardens, and a closet. The modern bathroom has is elegantly appointed. Crown moldings top those extra high ceilings and there are gleaming hardwood floors throughout. The home comes with a thru-wall A/C unit in the living room.

Located on one of the most picturesque blocks in all of the East Village, adjacent to the Abe Lebewohl Triangle and Park and just a few blocks to Astor Place and Union Square, the amenities of this cooperative building include an elevator, laundry room and a roof deck that is quite magical with open views of the city and sunsets. Close proximity to subways, buses, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and much more! Available for mid-late November/December 1 and shown by appointment. No pets please.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
